WEEK 1

I initially creative lacked o but sugg agreed w Reflection

CONO

Grade: 8.5/10

Objective

• Learn how to recycle-reuse-respect-reduce-reform waste products

• Create aesthetically pleasing compositions in 3dimensional

WEEK 2

Refelection

I was really happy with how my 3D-printed model turned out—clean and precise just like I planned. Surprisingly, it looked even better upside down, and my professor agreed, even saying the overlapping parts I thought were mistakes actually made it more interesting.

WEEK 3

CURVI-LINEAR

Working with plasticine to create my curvilinear model allowed me to explore fluid, organic forms through hands-on experimentation. The process helped me better understand how curves interact in space and how material flexibility can influence design decisions. Refelection

• Create 3-dimensional composition Objective

• Design using plasticine curvilinear geometries

Refelection

HOT-ONES

• Design using curvilinear geometries

• Explore function and aesthetics through wearable art

• Create an aesthetically pleasing 3-dimensional composition Objective I designed an abstract wearable composition and really enjoyed the creative process, especially experimenting with exaggerated forms and playful elements like balloons. My professor appreciated the boldness of the design, noting how its exaggerated nature made it stand out and express movement effectively.

WEEK 4

Refelection

RECTI-CURVI

Creating recti- curvilinear compositions with plasticine helped me explore the contrast between rigid and flowing forms. The process improved my modeling skills and deepened my understanding of spatial balance and composition.

• Design using plasticine Recti-curvilinear geometries

• Follow certian rules and constraints

• Create 3-dimensional composition Objective

KANDINSY-SCULPTURE

Refelection

• Combine rectilinear and curvilinear geometries in a single design

• Transform 2D inspirations into 3D compositions

• Use a reference artwork as a source of inspiration Objective Creating recti- curvilinear compositions with plasticine helped me explore the contrast between rigid and flowing forms. The process improved my modeling skills and deepened my understanding of spatial balance and composition.

WEEK 5

FRAGMENTS

Refelection

While creating fragments from segments cut out of rectilinear and curvilinear shapes, I struggled to achieve the level of neatness I wanted. Although the final pieces effectively explored form, the lack of precision affected the overall polish of the assignment.

• Design using plasticine compositions out of segmentsfrom recti and curvilinear shapes

• Follow certian rules and constraints

• Create 3-dimensional composition Objective

OSMOSIS-MORPHOSIS

Refelection

he burn mark on the bottle initially bothered me, but my professor saw it as a unique abstract detail. I was advised to soften the plastic more to fully transform the bottle and make it less recognizable.

• Use minimal extra materials for support only Objective

•Create an abstract model using one 5-gallon water bottle

WEEK 6

PLANAR

• Design 3-dimensional shapes using planar paper

• Follow names to create the shapes

Objective In this planar excursion, I felt that I had followed the brief quite well and was confident in my approach. However, my professor pointed out that the shapes I created didn’t effectively convey the meaning of the assigned words, highlighting a gap between my intention and execution. Refelection

KIRIGAMIPOP-UP

• Design a Kirigami pop-up composition using a folded A2 Canson paper (A3 size) that explores spatial depth and form through precise cutting and folding techniques. The design should draw inspiration from geometric, urban, or architectural elements and interact dynamically with light and shadow to enhance its sculptural presence.er Objective

Refelection

I struggled to get this assignment right at first, but once I found an idea, I printed a template from YouTube and used it as a guide to make my pop-up more accurate and neat. I also added lights inside to enhance the visual effect; however, my professor felt that the pop-up design itself was too basic and could have been more complex or original.

WEEK 7

LINES

I really enjoyed this assignment, especially the creative challenge of using my ears as a tool for imagination. It was exciting to interpret music through form and express sound in a visual, threedimensional way using wire. Refelection

• Create abstract wire compositions inspired by different pieces of music, translating the rhythm, mood, and energy of each song into suitable three-dimensional forms. Objective

WEEK 8

MID-TERM

Refelection

I really enjoyed this assignment it was exciting and refreshing to create an abstract composition from scraps of previous projects. It challenged me to think creatively and make something meaningful out of leftover materials. It was also inspiring to see how others interpreted the same Ramadan dessert in unique ways, highlighting the variety of creative approaches within the class.

• Create abstract compositions inspired by Ramadan desserts using scrap materials collected throughout the course, exploring texture, form, and material reuse in a creative and meaningful way. Objective

WEEK 9&10

MULTI-VERSE

Refelection

I really enjoyed this assignment as it was a simple and fun extra credit task. It also gave me the chance to experiment with photography and learn how to take pictures that make a small model look realistic and full-sized.

• Design a mini pavilion using scrap materials within a 10x10 cm scale, focusing on form, structure, and creativity. Capture a photograph of the model in a way that makes it appear life-sized and realistic. Objective

BREAKTHERULES

• Read each requirment and od the exact opposite Objective Refelection

This assignment was really fun because it felt like I was doing something “wrong,” but actually, it was the right approach. It was a great opportunity to experiment and push creative boundaries without worrying about strict rules.

ART-IFICIAL

Refelection

I really enjoyed working on this project, especially developing the concept of “no bird – a bird’s nest,” which added depth and abstraction to the design. It was rewarding to see that the doctor appreciated the idea, and using AI to generate a helpful visual made the process even smoother and more inspiring.

Objective

• Develop and express a strong conceptual theme.

• Communicate ideas visually through form, materiality, and composition.

• Create an aesthetically compelling threedimensional artwork.

• Experiment with form, texture, and contrast to create a meaningful and visually engaging artwork.

WEEK 11,12&13

FADA2EYAMASREYA

Refelection

IThis was the most challenging assignment due to its size and material difficulties. Our first idea was rejected for not being abstract or 3D, but after lots of research and changes, we created an abstract 3D composition that earned the highest grade. I’m proud of our achievement.

• Create a 3D installation that reimagines Egypt in a futuristic "Space Age" context, blending cultural heritage with abstract and symbolic design to tell a unique and imaginative spatial story. Objective
