Paola Nájera Alta costura elaborada con mucha pasión

Elegante y vanguardista son algunas características que definen a esta talentosa diseñadora de moda. Elegant and avant-garde are some of the characteristics that define this talented fashion designer.

Cuando era niña, a Paola un vestido la hizo sentir como una princesa: única, especial y bonita. Fue en ese momento cuando entendió que su pasión era hacer que más mujeres se sintieran así. “No tenía claro lo que era la carrera de Diseño de Modas, pero siempre me llamó la atención confeccionar y coser en la máquina con mi abuela y la nana de mi papá”, nos dice.

Cuando descubrió que su verdadera pasión era la moda, se preparó profesionalmente como estudiante de P.A. en Diseño de Modas en ÚNICO Universidad, del Sistema Educativo de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG). Años después, estudió una licenciatura en la escuela de diseño de modas LANSPIAC. Parte de su formación han sido diplomados y cursos para el complemento de su firma: Diplomado en Colorimetría en Ceci Chalita; Asesoría y Diseño de Imagen, en Brandhome; Finanzas, en el Tec de Monterrey; Diplomado de Exportaciones de Moda, por la Autónoma de Guadalajara.

La firma de alta costura de Paola Nájera se divide en dos: Paola Nájera Collection y Paola Nájera Atelier. Paola Nájera Collection es una línea pret-a-porteé que, al cierre de este año, estará en proceso de convertirse en net-a-porteé. En esta línea, encontrarás blusas estructuradas en cuellos, puños y detalles que te harán pensar en un origami. Sacos a juego con pantalones asimétricos de impacto, ensambles, maxichalecos y capas a juego con faldas y vestidos sastre, son muy característicos de la firma. Esta colección se crea cada seis meses y está pensada para empoderar a la mujer.

“Mis viajes los hago sola o con la compañía de mi hermana. Procuro tener momentos de introspección, para conectar con el mensaje que quiero dar. Mis colecciones son muy íntimas, cuentan una historia e invitan a vivir la moda desde otro plano. Desde mi perspectiva, siempre busco dejar un mensaje. Por otro lado, Paola Nájera Atelier es una línea muy íntima, en donde ella personalmente diseña −muy a su estilo− prendas para cada clienta. Siempre se inspira en la personalidad de las mujeres que acuden a ella y toma en cuenta el evento donde usarán su look. En Paola Nájera Atelier elaboran vestidos de novia, vestidos de noche, sets ejecutivos y prendas a la medida.

Lo que más le gusta de hacer moda es que las clientas se vean al espejo y digan: “¡Wow, hoy conocí mi cintura!”; ella y todo su equipo han trabajado mucho para lograr esto. Asimismo, a Paola la llena de ilusión hacer felices a las mujeres con sus diseños. When she was a child, a dress made Paola feel like a princess: unique, special and beautiful. It was at that moment she understood her passion was to make more women feel that way. “I didn’t really know what a career in fashion design was, but making things on the sewing machine with my grandmother and my dad’s nanny always caught my attention,” she tells us.

When she discovered that her true passion was fashion, she trained professionally for a P.A. in Fashion Design at ÚNICO Universidad, which is part of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG). Years later, she studied for a bachelor’s degree at the LANSPIAC fashion design school. Various diplomas and courses have formed part of her training to complement her brand: Diploma in Colorimetry at Ceci Chalita; Image Design and Consulting at Brandhome; Finance, at Tec de Monterrey; Diploma in Fashion Exportation at UAG.

The haute couture brand, Paola Nájera is divided into two: Paola Nájera Collection and Paola Nájera Atelier. Paola Nájera Collection is a pret-a-porter (ready to wear off the rack) line that by the end of this year will be in the process of becoming net-a-porter (ready to wear off the internet). In this line, you will find blouses with structured collars, cuffs and details that are reminiscent of origami. Matching jackets with asymmetric impact pants, ensembles, maxi vests and matching capes with skirts and tailored dresses are all very characteristic of the label. This collection is created every six months and designed to empower women.

“I do my trips alone or accompanied by my sister. I try to find moments of introspection, to connect with the message I want to convey. My collections are very intimate; they tell a story and invite you to experience fashion from another plane. From my perspective, I always seek to leave a message. Now, I am presenting my collection ‘Soy’ [I am], which can be found on my Instagram (@PaolaNajeraMx).”

On the other hand, Paola Nájera Atelier is a very intimate line, where she personally designs – in her distinctive style – garments for each client. She always takes the personality of the women who come to her as inspiration, taking into account the event that the garment is intended for. At Paola Nájera Atelier they make wedding dresses, evening dresses, executive sets and custom garments.

What she likes most about working in fashion is for clients to look in the mirror and say: “Wow, today I met my waist!” She and her entire team have worked hard to achieve this. Most importantly, Paola is delighted that her designs bring happiness to women.
