CARGO & SERVICE ACCESS
Remarkable handling and rugged durability start at the highly rigid frame with integrated 8-point Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS). The sturdy construction was designed using Kawasaki’s advanced dynamic rigidity analysis to ensure minimum weight with maximum strength. ROPS B-pillars follow the same lines as the rear shocks, effectively countering the force exerted by the suspension on the frame. Large-diameter A-arms and trailing arms utilize an arc shape for greater clearance, also allowing the long-travel suspension to soak up more terrain.
Pack a full-size cooler or a 32-inch spare tire in the large rear carrier space, capable of holding 350 pounds. Secure your cargo with four integrated tie-down hooks. Service access is well thought out, making it simple to check the engine oil level using the sight glass, access the oil fill, oil filter, air cleaner, and service the CVT belt.

CONFIDENT & AGGRESSIVE Strong and progressive stopping power is provided by four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Twin-piston calipers in the front and single-piston calipers in the rear grasp large-diameter 258mm discs for assertive stopping force. As the driver applies brakes, the front engages first followed by the rear for natural, linear brake feel and precision control. A parking brake lever conveniently located in the center console activates rear brakes only. 15-inch beadlock wheels add to the aggressive styling and help securely hold the tire beads in place under lower grip conditions.

TESTED BY TOUGH TERRAIN INNOVATIVE SUSPENSION Class-leading long-travel suspension keeps the cabin calm when the terrain outside gets rough. Independent front and rear suspension feature high-performance FOX 2.5 PODIUM LSC shocks with adjustable preload and 24-way compression damping. Double wishbone front suspension provides an impressive 19 inches of travel up front while the four-link trailing-arm suspension delivers 21 inches in the rear. This rear suspension arrangement minimizes change to the toe-in over the suspension stroke, which helps with straight-line tracking as well as stability during cornering. In addition to off-road capability, the suspension system soaks up bumps with minimal disturbance to the cabin for greater ride comfort. Independent suspension action and long wheel travel translate to a superior ramp travel index (or articulation) for taking on tricky technical terrain. Front and rear sway bars contribute to superb handling, comfort and straight-line tracking.
LONG WHEELBASE & WIDE TREAD Wheels positioned as far apart as possible contribute to an aggressive overall stance. The long 99-inch wheelbase, combined with the long wheel travel, contributes to performance and ride comfort, while the 68-inch vehicle width and wide 59-inch tread stance help the vehicle maintain its line when cornering. Wheels pushed out to the four corners of the vehicle actually extend beyond the bodywork. Approach and departure angles of 90 degrees mean that the tires are the first to encounter obstacles on the trail.

GROUND CLEARANCE Traverse tough terrain with 14.4 inches of ground clearance. The high stance allows the class-leading suspension travel to fully articulate for a smooth, stable ride in wide-ranging terrain. The angled shape of the underbody complements the ample clearance and helps protect the frame from contacting obstacles on the trail.
TIRES FOR ANY TRAIL The 31-inch MAXXIS® Carnivore tires ride over small obstacles with greater ease while helping to maintain forward momentum. The off-road tread pattern offers enhanced grip for climbing over rocks in rock crawls, and their 8PR construction offers excellent puncture resistance. Slim front fenders and low bodywork offer the driver a clear line of sight to the front tires for optimum driver control and superior crawling capability.

POWERFUL ENGINE A compact 999cc parallel-twin engine provides the best of both worlds by delivering both high power and high torque. Well-balanced performance enables both high-rpm operation as well as low-speed running. The easy character accommodates a wide range of situations, from trail running to technical terrain. Innovative two-stage intake ports and long, race-style intake funnels create a smooth path for air, contributing to robust low-end torque. Dual 50mm throttle bodies and fine atomizing injectors ensure efficient combustion and responsive engine performance across the rpm range.

DRIVE MODES Switch between 2WD/4WD and front differential lock on the fly with electrically selectable drive modes. Sprint through turns in 2WD, or engage all four wheels to combat demanding terrain with sure-footed confidence. For ultimate control, combine 4WD with the differential lock for maximum traction.
POWER MODES Dual power modes offer versatility for driver preference and different terrain conditions: low power for a milder throttle response, or full power for responsive high-speed performance. Tackle tricky trail obstacles in low-power mode, with steady response and optimum low-speed control. Switch to full power when you’re ready to unleash the full sport performance of the 999cc engine.

CVT & CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH A large-volume Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and centrifugal clutch provide effortless control over the brawny power and high-rpm output of the parallel-twin engine. The centrifugal clutch is positioned between the crankshaft and the CVT drive pulley to ensure smooth acceleration from a stop and precise throttle control through technical terrain. The three-position transmission offers forward high, forward low and reverse for the dexterity to take on a variety of terrain. Natural-feeling engine braking provides consistent holdback on downhills.

Form meets function as the fierce-looking shocks, massive front grill and LED headlights, taillights and line-type position lamps reflect the enormity of the trail-conquering off-road potential. High fenders show off the massive shocks and class-leading tire size, with the front fender flares easily bolting on and off for cost-effective replacement. Eight-spoke cast aluminum wheels and colored beadlock rings give an aftermarket flare to the king of the trails.
The large multi-function all-digital instrumentation with adjustable positioning and adjustable contrast provides a clear, easy-to-read display so you can keep your eyes on the adventure. Monitor your speed, tach, odometer, fuel-level readouts and much more at a glance. Easy service and maintenance notifications come thanks to an hour meter and dual trip meters that monitor time spent and miles dominated.

CABIN COMFORT Ride in comfort within the roomy cabin. Thick cushioned high-back bucket seats are positioned to provide generous legroom and head clearance for all-day comfort. Tilt steering offers adjustability for the driver while both lever-adjustable seats offer six inches of forward/rear adjust. Integrated half doors feature inner and outer latches, and provide increased coverage from the elements, as well as armrests for added support. Speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering (EPS) provides maximum assistance at slow speed and reduced assistance as vehicle speed increases to ensure responsive steering. The EPS also helps absorb steering kickback for better handling and reduced driver fatigue. The passenger can grip the adjustable T-handle grab rail when the ride gets exciting.
