Avling is looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate b rewery sales representative to join our team. Our beers are as seasonal as the ingredients that go into them. By focusing on traditional European lagers and mix-ferment locally sourced ales, we seek to tell authentic and compelling stories with our beer. With a rooftop garden and off-site farm, we are a pioneer in taking the farm-to-table ethos a step further and we regularly use rooftop farm vegetables, herbs, and flowers as key ingredients in our beer and food.
As the Avling brewery sales representative, you will be a front-line ambassador of the brewery and broader Avling brand, working to increase awareness and distribution across Toronto and southern Ontario. Primary focus will be on building and maintaining robust relationships with a broad roster of licensee accounts (bars and restaurants) and retail (LCBO) with a focus on increasing overall distribution. This is a full-time role with on-the-road and onsite work required.
Successful candidates will require the following:
- Familiarity with the Toronto craft beer retail landscape and passion for craft beer; strong beer knowledge
- A valid driver’s licence; access to a personal vehicle that can be used for work purposes, including sales visits and occasional deliveries preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours and evenings and weekends
- Independently motivated to achieve results; highly accountable
- Strong communication skills with well-developed sales skills
- Ability to move kegs weighing up to 143 lbs between delivery vehicles, carts, and up and down staircases
- Minimum 3-5 years of field sales experience, preferably in beverage alcohol retail
