Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted hundreds of thousands of transformative wish experiences worldwide. Here in North Texas, our organization’s vision is to grant the heartfelt wish of every eligible child battling a critical illness across the 161 Texas counties we serve. Wishes are not reserved for children with terminal illnesses. In fact, medical research reveals wishes provide physical and emotional benefits that can give children with a critical illness a higher chance of survival.
Wishes are catalysts for hope - profoundly effective in fueling a child’s drive to defy the odds and push toward tomorrow. Your support of Wranglers & Wishes will help ensure every eligible child has a wish to count on.
Make-A-Wish North Texas is proud to host the 2nd annual Wranglers & Wishes, featuring live music, traditional Texas barbecue, inspiring wish stories, and all the two-stepping your heart desires. This year, we are working toward granting more than 630 wishes for children throughout our chapter’s 161-county territory.
Thank you for your attendance tonight at Wranglers & Wishes. Together, we will transform the lives of local children and their families.
I’m excited to welcome you to the second annual Wranglers & Wishes! We can’t thank you enough for being here tonight as we celebrate our incredible wish kids and the transformative power of a wish come true.
As you may know, a wish is more than just a nice thing for a child facing critical illness. A wish makes an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of medically-eligible children, their families and the entire community. Results from our recent Wish Impact Survey confirmed that the vast majority of wish alumni, parents, and medical providers agree that the wish experience contributes substantially to the physical, mental and emotional health of the child. Their families and support systems are also strengthened by the experience.
We have the opportunity to bring hope, strength, and joy into the lives of children and their families in the midst of their medical journeys. Right now, we have nearly 400 children waiting for their wishes to be granted in our Southwest region. The numbers become real when you meet our wish kids and hear their stories. You will get to know Jacob and a few others tonight during the program, and I hope that you are inspired by their perseverance and the hope they have for the futures.
The hope these kids long for begins with you. Your generosity will help us grant the wish of every eligible child in Fort Worth and beyond. What wishes will you help grant tonight?
On behalf of our entire wish community, thank you for your partnership and support. Together, anything is possible.
More kids are waiting for wishes than ever before, with close to 400 children waiting in our Southwest region. Your support can change their lives providing strength, hope and transformation for children with critical illnesses.

Thank you for joining us this for the second annual Wranglers & Wishes! Tonight, we are here to honor children facing critical illnesses and the incredible impact their wishes have on them, their families and their support systems.
Your commitment to our mission plays a key role in spreading hope, strength and joy to current and future wish families. With nearly 400 children our Southwest region waiting for their wishes to be granted, your support is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference in the lives of local families.
We have both had the privilege to witness the power of a wish come true through our involvement with Make-A-Wish, and those experiences are unforgettable but the impact of a wish extends far beyond a singular moment in time. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of wish kids, their families and the entire community, and we’re honored take part in these stories of hope as we support the Make-A-Wish mission tonight and well into the future.
As the 2022 committee co-chairs, we would like to personally thank you for joining us to celebrate the tremendous courage and spirit of our wish kids, and we look forward to partnering with you to make even more wishes come true in the future.
Until every wish is granted,
Upon arrival, each person will be asked to complete registration and receive a bid paddle. Anyone wishing to bid on an auction item must have a bid number. Bid numbers are unique and will serve as identification throughout the auction proceedings. Bid numbers can also be found on the mobile auction webpage.
Mobile bidding on silent auction items begins when the mobile bidding link is sent (via text) to guests and will close at 9:45 p.m. on the evening of the event. Descriptions and restrictions of items are listed in the mobile auction description of the item. To make a bid on an item, a bid must be made through the mobile bidding software. The price appearing next to your bid constitutes the price you are committing to pay for the item in case no higher bid is made at a later time. Each new mobile bid represents an increase corresponding to the selected amount. Please see the Auction Help Desk if you require assistance with placing a mobile bid throughout the evening. Times are subject to change.
The Live Auction will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. Your bid paddle must be used to participate in the Live Auction. To bid, please raise your bid paddle to notify the auctioneer or auction bid spotter of your desire to bid. Your oral or motion bid constitutes an agreement to bid. Once the auctioneer announces "sold," the merchandise becomes the property of the winning bidder and payment must be made at the conclusion of the event. All sales are considered final.
All merchandise is sold "as is" and Make-A-Wish makes no warranties expressed nor implied, or representations in connection with the sale. No statement made in this packet, orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty or assumption of liability against the organization or the donor of the product or service. Through the purchase, the buyer waives any and all claims against the organization or the donor of the product or service. Neither Make-A-Wish nor the donor is responsible for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from the use of the product or service sold. Auction participants understand that all items have been solicited in good faith and that all descriptions, representations, and values associated with auction items are based upon information provided by the donor and or of approximate value. Items may have restrictions and every attempt has been made to include the most relevant restrictions on bid sheets and/or on informational placards. Auction bidders may request to review certificates for restrictions prior to placing a bid for an item by notifying an auction representative. All items must be paid for and should be collected at the end of the event. Items which have been sold and not collected within 30 days of the event will become the property of Make-A-Wish.
