VETERANS DAY CEREMONIES PLANNED Flagler County and the city of Palm Coast will hold Veterans Day ceremonies on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11, respectively. Flagler County will hold its ceremony at 10 a.m. Nov. 10, at the Government Services Building at 1769 E. Moody Blvd. in Bunnell. It will feature Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Mike Canzoneri, who commands nearly 10,000 soldiers and has management authority over all Florida Army National Guard programs. The “Flagler County Colonel Gary E. DeKay Veteran of the Year” award recipient will also be announced. The city of Palm Coast’s ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. Nov. 11, at Heroes Memorial Park at 2860 Palm Coast Parkway NW, about half a mile west of the Flagler County Library. Speakers will be U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis; Col. Jack Howell of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 808; Edward Beier of American Legion Post 115; and Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland. In case of rain, the city of Palm Coast’s ceremony will be held at nearby Fire Station 21 at 9 Corporate Drive.
