YOUR TOWN MEMORIAL DAY: MAY 30
KISS A COP DAY! In honor of Peace Officers Day May 15, Randy McDonald planted a smooch on Ormond Beach Police Officer Michelle Lynn Gaden. McDonald is a member of Ormond Strong. The group walked on that day in honor of Officer Bob Grim, who was killed by a vehicle while investigating a minor traffic accident on Nova Road in 2014.

Don’t miss this year’s Ormond Beach Memorial Day event at 9 a.m. at Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive. Charles Long will conduct the members of the Daytona Beach Concert Band. Victoria Leignadier, retired colonel of the U.S. Army, will serve as the Memorial Remembrance moderator. Guest speaker is Lt. Col. Garret K. Messner, U.S. Army, retired. In the event of rain, the service will be held inside The Casements. Call 676-3241.
