“No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an unchartered land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.� - Helen Keller 3 of a collection of 14 inspirational A3 and A1 posters that I designed on behalf of the Dubai Arup office. I used many famous Arup projects to inspire engineers at work such as the Sydney Opera House. I cropped the image to reflect the text using the idea of sails on a boat.





Graduate Flash showreel Whilst working at Arup I was assigned to creating material for their graduate department to entice prospective graduates to the company. One of the things I created was a Graduate showreel in flash that was displayed at Arup stalls in graduate fares. The showreel incorporated a map of the world moving from destination to destination to show the different projects that Arup had worked on around the world from the Sydney Opera House to the Singapore Flyer. The showreel was so successful that it was eventually used as a reception welcome screen in the Arup Australasian offices.


For Halcrow Yolles I created a Christmas card that incorporated the festive theme as well as the buildings that they wanted to promote. The card had to remain very corporate while maintaining the Christmas spirit. I used images off their new developments in Clapham Junction and Canary Wharf within the baubles design that I drew in Adobe illustrator. The card was also used as a an e-mailer so that Halcrow staff could send it on to their contacts to wish everyone they worked with a happy Christmas. Whilst working with big corporate companies like Halcrow and Arup I have learned the restrictions that must be met due to corporate guidelines.

Vietnam working for the Vietnam Embassy I created a taxi campaign using famous imagery from Halom Bay in Vietnam and vietnamese ladies in traditional “Ao Dài’””’ dress. This

campaign incorporated 4 superside designs and 1 full wrap livery design as well as internal tip-seats.

Once I had the designs printed and

fiFItted the embassy held a PR event inviting many dignitaries from London as well as THE MEDIA TO LAUNCH THE NEW LOOK FOR VIETNAM.

THEY ALSO TOOK THE CABS ON A

PHOTOSHOT OUTSIDE FAMOUS LONDON LANDMARKS SUCH AS THE LONDON EYE.





I created this CD set to go with a press release pack for a green building conference called Eco Edge in Melbourne, Australia. As well as designing the CD design and cover design I also designed the screensaver that was dowloadable from the disc and the flash presentation content that was on the disc. The flash presentation was also shown on plasma screens as a backdrop to Arup architects speeches.





This is the first of a series of rebranded monthly magazine adverts that I created for Taxi Media for the ABTA travel magazine. I designed the advert in the new house style that I produced for Taxi Media using ‘Helvetica Neue’ and ‘Helvetica Light’ as our corporate font and using our corporate colours throughout the advert.

Graduate Flash showreel This is taken from an interactive flash brochure that I designed and built in Adobe Flash to be sent around to graduates over the internet to entice them to Arup. The idea was to create an online version of the graduate brochure that graduates would find interesting and would continue to be interested in because of the interactivity in it. I set the scene of an engineer’s desk with a computerised version of the actual printed brochure on it. When you click the picture on the wall which says ‘Click for brochure’ the animation zooms into the brochure on the desk. Once on the brochure you can flick back and fourth to read the entire brochure. You can also return to the beginning screen and click the ‘Click for websites’ button which zooms in towards the computer screen to display links for related websites that when clicked re-direct you to that website. This interactive flash brochure was sent to all Australasian engineer graduates.


Taxi Media, Media Pack Part of the rebranding for Taxi Media also involved new sales material like the media pack. This is given out to clients to entice them into taxi advertising. The media pack was designed to incorporate all of the elements of the new style that I created during the rebranding process and was produced as a 4pp cover 24 pp text brochure.
