Used software including Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Illustrator, and Photoshop to produce documents for progress sets, complete feasibility studies, and create façade variations for design development. Used Revit and Excel to complete documentation such as unit mixes.

brief: A pavilion designed to be constructed in Waterloo Park, nearby the University of Waterloo. The building orientation allows for flow from the parking area to a trail entrance and baseball diamond. The pavilion was designed to create a youthful and energetic atmosphere to echo the spirit of the park. The structure is formed from wooden voronoi units, designed parametrically using grasshopper, with embedded polycarbonate panels in each of the three primary colours, reminiscent of the work of Piet Mondrian.

brief: A proposed reclad for Ron Eydt village, a student residence complex at the University of Waterloo. The goal of the reclad was to modernize the residences, increasing thermal performance of the enclosure, and improving the overall living experience for the students. The design takes cues from other improvement and new build projects on campus to create a cohesive image.

brief: A small-scale libray located in Phoenix, Arizona. Locations were assigned by teaching team based on extreme climates. The project focuses on daylighting and passive systems. Wood, in a light tone was used to brighten the space, and maintain an inviting atmosphere. The colour scheme also prevents intrusion upon the natural landscape of the site, which is a deserted area on the outskirts of Phoenix. The material is also better suited to the hot, dry climatate as it conducts less heat than metals.

brief: cecropia was created for terraviva’s tactical urbanism competition. the project is a modular post and roof assembly that has many available attachments to create adaptable and unique spaces within the confined spaces of dense urban landscapes. the project aims to develop a sense of community in urban settings while improving the perception of potentially uninteresting places.

During the winter 2021 work term, I worked remotely for Arquitectonica as an architecture intern with their Miami office. I worked on a large variety of projects including high-rise residential, multi-story commercial, and mixed use buildings. I completed rendered elevations, massing models, feasibility studies, and drawing sets. Some of my contributions are featured on the following pages.

massing models

These massing models were created to communicate the building’s massing development to the client.

schematic design

These graphics were created to identify mural placements (a zoning requirement in this neighbourhood) and to communicate initial design intent to the client. These graphics are a further developed output of the previously shown massing models.

rendered elevations

These rendered elevations were completed weekly to track project development and deliver design alternatives to the client. The set shown is one of the last iterations prior to permit application.
