More than 30 years ago, my father would compete with coworkers and friends to donate the most blood. It was (and is) a good cause, and would encourage more donors to participate. Today he is fighting leukemia and received platelets from your donation. He, his wife, and I are both very thankful for your gift. It is quite literally the fuel that keeps the flame burning. From a family in need to an anonymous, generous donor: Thank you.
