Die Villa Berg ist eine Landhausvilla in Stuttgart und wurde 1845–1853 von Christian Friedrich von Leins im Stil der italienischen Hochrenaissance erbaut. Sie liegt in einem Landschaftspark, dem Park Villa Berg. Villa Berg manor is a mansion at Stuttgart and was built 1845–1853 by Christian Friedrich von Leins in the style of Italian High Renaissance. It’s set in a landscape park, called Villa Berg Park.

Olga Nikolajewna Romanowa (1822–1892) war eine russische Großfürstin. 1846 heiratete sie den Thronfolger und späteren König Karl I. von Württemberg. Sie bewohnte unter anderem die Villa Berg. Ihr Name steht heute für zahlreiche Institutionen in Stuttgart und Umgebung. Queen Olga of Wuerttemberg, also known as Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna Romanowa (1822–1892) was a resident. As a daughter of the Russian Tsar she became Queen Consort of Wuerttemberg in 1846. Her name today stands for a number of institutions in Stuttgart and its environment. Stuttgart Villa Berg 4 5

Königin Olga von Württemberg sammelte im Laufe ihres Lebens 86 Bilder mit Innenansichten ihrer Wohn- und Repräsentationsräume und fasste sie in einer weinroten Kassette, dem so genannten Olga-Album, zusammen. Queen Olga of Wuerttemberg collected 86 drawings with interior views of her apartment & representation rooms in the course of her life and summarized them in a wine-red cassette, the socalled Olga-Album. in traumhaftes Anwesen mit Orangerie und Park, mit Brunnen und üppigen Blumenrabatten, mittendrin ein weithin sichtbarer Prachtbau mit zwölf Ballsälen und Salons, mit Terrassen und Erkern, mit Säulen und Bögen, mit riesigen Rundfenstern und jeder Menge kostbarer Verzierungen im Inneren und außen herum. Zum Park gehörten kleine Seen und ein Wasserfall, ein Vogelhaus und ein Rehgehege, Marmorstatuen und Kandelaber, ein Irrgarten und zahlreiche Ruhesitze.

fantastic property with orangery and park, with fountains and sumptuous flower borders, right in the middle a far away visible building of splendour with twelve ballrooms and salons, with terraces and oriels, with columns and arches, with great round windows and every quantity of precious ornaments on the inside and outside around. Litle lakes and a water fall belonged to the park, a bird house and a deer enclosure, marble statues and candelabras, a labyrinth and a lot of resting seats.

Rettet die Villa!
Save the mansion!
1944 wurde die Villa im Bombenhagel des Zweiten Weltkriegs schwer zerstört und brannte fast komplett aus. Heute nagt nicht nur die Natur sondern auch der Vandalismus an der Villa, die leer steht. Graffiti verunzieren die Mauern. Die Fenster sind zum Schutz vor unliebsamen Eindringlingen mit Sperrholz verrammelt.

In 1944 the mansion was heavily damaged in the hail of bombs of WW II and burned out almost entirely. Today not only nature but also vandalism gnaws the mansion, which is empty. Graffiti spoil the walls. The windows are barricaded with plywood to the protection from unwanted intruders.
