Chanen Construction was founded in 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona—when the population was a whopping 65,414.
Now, 69 years and 1 million more people later, Chanen remains one of the original Arizona builders with a reputation for ambitious projects and investing in the community.

THE DAC STORY
Founded in 1975, Dick Anderson Construction has grown to become one of the most respected general contractor/construction management firms in the region. For five decades, we’ve built strong relationships with clients in Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and across the Northwest. Now, we’re proud to expand south with the acquisition of Chanen Construction. Like Chanen, DAC is a homegrown business with a humble beginning; we started as a roofing company committed to providing the highest quality work.

POST-CONSTRUCTION
The end of construction doesn’t quite mean the end of the project. Once all building is complete and all systems are tested, we’ll work together to ensure the finished product is in optimum shape ready for you to move right in and start your future.
Post-Construction Services
As we near the project’s completion, a final set of processes begins. We review our Punch List to ensure all listed work is completed to the owner’s satisfaction.
All systems are tested, and all closeout documents including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and product and labor warranties—are handed over. Final payments and releases are issued.

Job Title: Preconstruction
Services Director

Chanen Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Services Director to lead and manage preconstruction efforts on high-profile $100M+ commercial projects.
This role involves overseeing all preconstruction activities, ensuring early-stage planning and execution are flawless.
With nearly 70 years of industry experience, Chanen takes immense pride in its award-winning status, its unmatched reliability in payments, and its strong, half-century-long relationships with subcontractors.
In this role, you will represent Chanen’s commitment to excellence, helping to position projects for success before they even begin.
Key Responsibilities: Qualifications
Lead all preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, value engineering, scheduling, and early estimating.
Manage and coordinate preconstruction activities, such as OAC meetings, project estimation, and early-stage project planning.
Collaborate with the legal team and senior management to ensure successful project setup and execution.
Oversee smooth transitions from preconstruction to project execution, working closely with the project team.
Report directly to senior management, playing a key role in project decision-making and strategy.
8+ years of experience in preconstruction services for large commercial projects.
Proven track record of leading preconstruction efforts for projects valued at $100M+.
Strong expertise in CMAR and DB delivery methods.
In-depth knowledge of budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and scheduling processes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project planning skills.
