- The facility is guarded 24 hours a day, seven days a week - The company responsible for guarding the facility is a professional security company registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority - Guards are qualified as Grade D security guards Monitoring
- Each unit is monitored individually and reported as such at the Guard room - Dual control systems ensure that the guards and the electronic system correspond in recording access Fencing consists of:
South and Eastern Boundary - A palisade fence of 1,8 meter height ( pale thickness of 2.5 mm) - 500 mm of electric fencing on top of the palisade. - A concrete footing of 350 mm depth along the fence to prevent access from underneath the fence Northern Boundary - A 1.8m high wire mesh outer fence - 18 strands of electric inner fence - 3 strands of electric fencing on top of fence Western Boundary - A Concrete wall varying in height from 2.0 m to 3.5 m Access control
- An intercom and remote controlled automatic entrance gate controls access at the entrance to the facility - An entry and exit boom control access to storage units - Customers use their own locks to lock their storage units - The Administration section of the building is protected with remote controlled electric locks and steel doors. - All units are built with solid conventional construction methods ensuring strength, durability and protection from moisture - All doors to ground floor units are 0.8mm galvanised roller shutter doors for maximum protection against forced access. The strong door curtain of 0.8mm steel together with door guides of 75mm ensure that doors can not be blown out in this windy area. - The top floor storage units are protected at night with a roller shutter door CCTV
- A CCTV system provide the guards with a clear view of all activity around the facility and in the passageways - Guards in the guardroom can be monitored by head office Pest Control
- A Pest Control Program ensures each empty unit as well as occupied units are kept pest free.
