Sensus Touch Award Winning Digital Design

I played a key role in designing the core interaction model for the Sensus touch UI which was developed for the Volvo SPA platform and launched in 2015 with the all-new XC90 and all subsequent Volvo models.

Sensus touch has won a number of awards in the HMI automotive industry

Process: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Agile methods in large complex HW+SW product. UX/Design as cross disciplinary competence.

3rd Party Apps for Volvo Sensus Touch

Sensus Touch UI design lead for all connected 3rd party apps for Sensus touch. This work included both making detailed UI designs as well as leading a team of UI designers and collaborating with developers in a scrum environment.

Connected Apps for Volvo Sensus

Sensus Touch UI and graphic design lead for all connected apps for the vehicle lineup (2014-2017). This work included making pixel perfect graphic design, wireframes and collaborating with both internal and external developers in a scrum environment.

The connected apps received the Telematics Update Awards 2014 – one of the most prestigious awards for HMI within Automotive.

Designing for the one of the worlds most used web sites.

Internet Movie Database I was the sole designer on IMDb.com in the early 2000’s.

The work was constantly balancing information with readability. Marketing wishes vs usability. Commercial interest vs. user interests.

While I was there we were usually number 1 in industry ratings of “best websites”.
