Material Sense (2002) is an independent organization for materials innovation. The organization plays various roles. They make the world of materials visible and tangible. E.g. in the travelling themed exhibitions, lectures, workshops and through methods by Material Sense directed at experiencing the value of materials. They advise those looking for new materials and technologies, or for the sensorial qualities of products for an optimal experience, within a sustainable society.
Forging the Future during the Dutch Design Week Re-use of existing plastic waste streams and new usage of biomaterials; the importance increases visibly. Within the exhibition Forging the Future by Material Sense, the selected designers, researchers and producers imagine a future through a variety of promising products and experiments. Material Sense LAB 2014 was the start of Material Sense LAB with the successful exhibition Forging the Future.
