Project 1 01
Title: Flood-Prone Two-Story Residence
Description:
This project focuses on designing a floodresilient home that combines functionality, comfort, and durability for families living in floodprone areas. The house features five rooms, including a spacious master bedroom with a private restroom and walk-in closet. The layout includes a pantry, a well-equipped kitchen, and two living spaces spread across two floor levels to provide flexibility and comfort.
To address the region’s flooding challenges, the home is elevated 8 feet above ground level, reducing the risk of water damage. The primary materials are concrete and brick which were selected for their strength, stability, and resistance to moisture, ensuring long-term resilience and safety. This design serves as a model for sustainable, flood-adaptive housing in vulnerable communities.
