The Snow & Mountain Recreation teams are some of our hardest working individuals, dedicating their time from the early morning hours to late at night. They bring new life to the mountain, transforming a biking destination to sparkling, snowbound ski slopes. What is one stand out guest memory you’ve had since working at Massanutten? During the warmer months, the Family Adventure Park is your go-to destination at the resort for high-flying adventures through our many ziplines. As someone who adores working with children, I frequently find myself assigned to work over at the Kid's Adventure Course where children 12-years-old and younger can climb their way through various low-ropes obstacles finishing with a thrilling zip line ride. During a lull in the afternoon, I met Abby*, and we became fast friends as we maneuvered through the course. By the time we reached the end together, giggling from the exhilaration of completing the zip line, I had noticed that her parents had been quietly watching us from afar with tears streaming down her mother's face. In shock, I immediately apologized and sought to find a solution to the situation when the little girl's father interrupted me. He shared that due to extenuating circumstances, they thought that Abby might only make it through the first obstacle or two but wanted to allow her to try. Completing the course was an unimaginable challenge, and Abby had done just that.
