About

As part of my professional growth, I have had the opportunity to work in both small and large firm environments on a variety of project types and scales. I believe in a contextual approach to design that embraces balance and restraint, character of place, and craft of construction; with an end goal of creating simple and elegant buildings that thoughtfully respond to their users, landscapes, and environmental needs.

My summers in undergrad were spent outside building bridges and large concrete drainage tunnels. Through this experience, I developed a greater respect for honest materials, the environment, and the tactile knowledge required to build things.

Being involved in both professions has helped me understand the holistic process of making a building. Ultimately, I believe that architecture is an expression of values and that the thoughtful making of space can positively impact people, environments, and communities.
