Guide to Equivalence of the American High School Diploma (H.S.D) 2024/2025
The American High School Diploma (H.S.D) is equivalent to the following examinations (I/II est) / (AP) / (Digital SAT) based on the following criteria: 1. The student must complete twelve years of formal education, as stated in Article 25 of the success, completion, and failure criteria. 2. The schools from which the students graduated must be accredited by an American educational authority, and their high school diplomas (H.S.D) must be certified by the (AMIDEST) office in Amman. 3. Jordanian school graduates must pass all subjects at all levels from the following subjects in the eleventh and twelfth grades: Arabic language, Islamic education (for Muslim students), and Jordanian history based on the approved Jordanian curriculum, in addition to the subjects of the American diploma. Equivalence Options: Students must choose one of the following options: Option 1: Six (6) subjects from est II, with at least three of them being scientific subjects, one of which must be Mathematics Level 2 to qualify for the scientific branch. The average is calculated as follows: o
25% from the last three years (combined equally).
o
75% from est II scores.
Option 2: Four (4) subjects from est II + one (1) AP subject, with at least three of them being scientific subjects, one of which must be Mathematics Level 2 to qualify for the scientific branch. The average is calculated as follows: o
25% from the last three years (combined equally).
o
50% from est II scores.
o
25% from AP scores.
