THANK YOU, ROTARY Thank you to the Marysville Rotary Education Foundation. On May 22, Rotarians handed out $173,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Marysville, Lakewood, and Granite Falls. Nearly 60 students received scholarships ranging from $1,000 $10,00 with one student, Marysville's Skyleigh Morrison receiving a $20,000 award. The room at the Marysville Tulalip campus was filled with students and their parents and guardians, There were smiles, cheers, and tears. We are so incredibly proud to partner with the Marysville Rotary and cannot thank the Education Foundation enough for their support of our students. M OUN TAIN VIEW ARTS AN D TECHN OLOGY HIGH SCHOOL HAS A N EW N AM E..." LEGACY HIGH SCHOOL" Following several months of student, staff, parent and community review, a committee of students and staff led by Trishka Dargis, recommended a new name for their school. "MVAT" will become "Legacy High School" effective July 1. The Board of Directors were presented with three options and approved the school's top choice, Legacy High School. Next steps include creating the school's identity, including the mascot.

2019 - 2020 CALENDAR Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our represented staff groups and the approval of the Board of Directors, the 2019 - 2020 school calendar is ready for publication. The calendar and bell schedule will be posted on all district and communication platforms on June 3. School start and end times will remain the same as the current school year. The first day of school for the 2019 - 2020 school year is September 4 for grades 1 - 12.
