Dr. Zac Robbins

The Marysville School District Board of Directors took official action to hire Dr. Zac Robbins on March 21. Since that time, Dr. Robbins has visited the District and schools on several occasions, meeting students, staff, and school board members while getting to know the Marysville and Tulalip area. Dr. Robbins comes to Marysville from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he currently serves as Principal of Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas. He also serves the Nevada State Department of Education by providing leadership professional development to superintendents, district administrators, and principals across the state. His prior experience includes serving as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Secondary English Teacher in Boston Public Schools

Dr. Robbins earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Boston College; his Master’s Degree in Education Administration & Policy from Howard University; and his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Howard University. Dr. Robbins is looking forward to his new job in the Marysville School District and getting to know even more students, families, and staff!

Seven Marysville Pilchuck High School DECA students qualified for the DECA State Conference!

Marysville Getchell High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the Washington FBLA State Business Leadership Conference (SBLC) in Spokane, Washington. Twelve MGHS members attended and seven qualified for Nationals in a total of eight events. The FBLA Chargers took home a total of 16 awards! Carole Barton, Speech-Language Pathologist at Sunnyside Elementary School, published her first book "The Friendship Adventure", fulfilling a promise to her mother.

The I Have a Dream Multicultural Festival provided an opportunity to bring families and community members together to celebrate diversity. There was information and resources, music, fun games, and food for purchase. The Girls Build event provided an opportunity for students to learn more about the Regional Apprenticeship Pathways program by hearing from others in the trades and doing hands-on lessons such as building wooden tool boxes. So much fun at the El Día Del Niño (Children's Day) event at Cascade Elementary School. Commonly known as Día, it is a celebration every day of children, families, and reading that culminates yearly on April 30. The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Promise Kindergarten at Liberty Elementary provided learning and fun for some of our youngest students.

The "Berry Bash" resulted in the MG girls taking the win in the first annual fastpitch softball game.

Students participated in music and the arts through choir and band classes, and Drama Club. Our talented students held amazing performances. Look for a few more concerts coming up!

The NJROTC Color Guard presented the Colors at multiple district and community events this year.

Madison Doty of Marysville Middle School was named the 2021-22 Middle-Level Activities Adviser of the Year. Ms. Doty was recognized for her exemplary efforts in facilitating leadership growth for all students while elevating the climate and culture within the school and community.

Summer School Offerings This year’s programs include a virtual at-home program for elementary and middle school students by invitation, a bridge to learning program for incoming 9th grade students, and high school credit retrieval courses for students currently enrolled in grades 9 - 11. All programs are free. The Summer Enrichment Programs for students currently enrolled in grades K 7 is by invitation only for students who have received services through English Language Learning, Learning Assistance Programs, Title I, or Special Education qualify for the program. • Elementary School The elementary summer enrichment program features “Rocks, Rocks, and More Rocks” for students currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 4th grade. • Middle School For students in grades 5 - 7, this year’s enrichment program theme is Examining Video Games: Benefits and Risks. For students currently enrolled in 8th grade, there is a Bridge to High School program. • High School There are two sessions (Session one begins June 27 and session 2 begins July 11). Students currently enrolled in grades 9 - 12 in need of credits can register for the online classes.
