Maryland Holstein breeders and exhibitors continued to shine in 2022 at local, state, and national shows and they also took home top honors for BAA and continue to place bulls in studs as well. Our junior members continue to shine on all levels. Congratulations to all of the breeders and exhibitors of these fine Holstein cattle.
We brought back our sale in 2022 and it was a huge success. Thank you to all of the consignors and buyers for all of your support. Also thank you to all of the sale committee members and Chris and Jennifer Hill for putting together a fine sale. We would also like to thank long time sale chairman Dave Lease for his many years of service. We look forward to another great sale in 2023.
2022 was an interesting year with milk prices that were strong but also inputs were high as well. Hopefully milk prices will hold in 2023 and inputs will soften. Thank you to all of the current and past officers, directors, committee members and committee chairs and volunteers for all of your time and dedication to Maryland Holstein. It is your time and dedication that continue to make our association strong. We would also like to thank Laurie Savage for her continued service to our association.
The Maryland Holstein Association continues to be strong even with less and less farms. This is a testament to leaders and farm families. Thank you to all of the Maryland Holstein breeders and exhibitors and best of luck in 2023.
