Research/inspiration
Research
What is the purpose of the museum?
● Create insight, excitement, and debate about natural science & technology, as well as inspire creativity and innovation
Information comes from DTM 4.0 Vision presentation
What are the goals for the new museum?
● Become a meeting place and power center which is potentially a platform for a wide range of cultural and tech-related activities that support each other
● Fascinate visitors with achievements of science and getting up close to giant machines
● Offer the opportunity to experience stories, mobility, and environmental challenges (local and global)
Inspiration & Goals for Project
Museums such as NEMO (signage and interactive exhibits) and the German Museum of Technology were a great inspiration to me.
Visually inspired by the structure of Svanemølleværket with its 3 smokestacks.

Goals for project
Create a concept that will help the museum create insight, excitement, and debate about natural science and technology.

LOGO feedback
● The three fingers did not communicate clearly as the 3 smokestacks
● The figure has both rounded and sharp edges, maybe choose one or the other
● Needs to be more connected to the museum and building
● Could have more personality

Additional ideas/Future exhibitions
- GAMING EXHIBIT:
- More interactive and modern gaming systems (oculus/vr) maybe even gaming competitions and coding workshops.
- SCAVENGER HUNT:
- Paper given to kids with items/Easter eggs in the museum. If they point it out to an employee, they will get a sticker to check them off the list. Inspired by art museum scavenger hunts.
- GIFT SHOP/CAFE:
- Toys inspired by mascot and models of cars and planes like original gift shop, but more modern. Menu with coffee, pastries, and food that includes a creative design of theTEK mascot.
- FUTURE CAREER QUIZ:
- Think of the touchscreens with quizzes in NEMO. Similar to a personality quiz but focuses on tech-based jobs. Person will take the quiz and get a match of a job (icon is mascot edited to suit job) and says which exhibits showcase the work of this job.
