ABOUT THE MITYANA CHARITY
Tonight is primarily about raising funds for The Mityana Charity. We have supported this charity for many years now and on the back of our fundraising, they have made significant improvements to the infrastructure of education in the area, focusing on sustainability and future generations. Their current projects concentrate on female hygiene, removing the stigma around periods and allowing girls to access a full-time education, no matter what time of month it may be. The resources are limited for women so funds are being used to teach members of the community to make sustainable sanitary pads for the girls and also to educate all young people, boys and girls, about periods. The charity is also looking to build a shelter for victims of domestic violence in the area, of whom numbers are sadly incredibly high.
We are hoping to run a trip to Uganda this October to see the impact that our fundraising has had, and also to visit the families that some of you currently so kindly sponsor. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a young person via The Mityana Charity please do have a look at their website or contact Nick or Mary for further information.
This evening is the first opportunity the Orange has had to raise a significant amount of money for Mityana since 2019 due to Covid so please give generously to the various fundraising activites! Details of all silent auction items on offer as well as further information about the two raffles are in this programme.
The Charity's aims are the relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the relief of sickness, the advancement of religion and the promotion of sustainable development in the area of Mityana (Kibogo & Mubende) Uganda. Sustainable development means "development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

Sure to please lovers of big Italian reds, this majestic Barolo opens with powerful aromas of raspberry, cherries, violets, dark chocolate and tobacco. The noble Cordero di Montezemolo estate can trace its history right back to 1340 with 19 generations of the family involved in managing the Monfalletto property in the famed town of La Morra in Barolo. 2016 Barolo, Bricco Gattera, Cordero di Montezemolo
96 points, Antonio Galloni, vinous.com
The 2016 Barolo Gattera is one of the best recent editions of this wine I can remember tasting. The natural richness and fruit intensity of this hillside site make for a beautifully expressive Barolo. Dark cherry, hard candy, plum, spice, sweet lavender, graphite and leather all infuse the 2016 with notable character and captivating inner perfume. The Gattera is a blend of two parcels, both southwest facing. It is 2016 is a positively stunning wine. 2022-2041.

Lot 16: One Month’s Worth of Dog Food from Rockster
At Rockster we believe our dogs ROCK, and what they eat is the single most important decision they trust us to make for them. We are what we eat is as true for dogs as it is for us and we have an absolute right to know exactly what is in the food we are buying! What started with a magical street dog capturing our hearts on our honeymoon in 2004, has now become a passion to leave no stone unturned to offer loving pet owners like us, the choice of giving the “best of the best” to their dogs to enhance their lives in every way. To offer the ability to feed, or superboost other foods, with the highest calibre of complete and organic food to their dog, without having to cook and source the ingredients themselves or fill their freezer with dog food whose nutrient value is diminishing each day. We believe in the natural powers of superfoods and the extraordinary healing potential they offer both us and our dogs. We also believe in reinventing the can, because convenience should not necessarily involve compromise!
