WELCOME

The Friends of Foundation Academies (Friends of FA), a separate 501c3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 2010 to encourage community support of Foundation Academies, a public K-12 charter school in Trenton, NJ.

The Friends of Foundation Academies supports, enhances, and promotes the work of FA by raising funds and delivering services, programs, and partnerships that equitably serve the best interests of our school community. As a public charter school, FA receives approximately 75 percent of the per-student dollar allocation that the district schools receive. Donations to the Friends help to bridge that gap by enriching our student experiences, developing and retaining faculty, and responding to the needs of our school community.

Private gifts to the Friends of Foundation Academies help provide the building blocks for even better schools and brighter futures for the children of Trenton. Your support helps us to enrich student experiences, keep alumni successfully on their postsecondary paths, build and equip classrooms, and recruit and support our incredible faculty.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Friends of FA Board works with the Chief Executive Officer, Foundation Academies Leadership, students, alumni, and the Foundation Academies Board of Trustees (FABOT) to understand the school’s strategic vision and most pressing needs and then accepts and approves charitable donations for impactful grants to the school community.
