World cup 2023 has not only left a huge mark of soccer history but fashion history as well, how you may ask? During October 5th through November 19th many people were not only looking forward to seeing Messi playing his last soccer game but to also see Brazil play Tiktok also plays a huge role on this as well, when the brazilian dance battles started going viral internationaly Since then many people were obsessed with the music, dances, culture and more. People started to wear jerseys of Brazil and inspired looks by them. This caused a lot of controversy especially with people who are actual Brazilians. Some complained that the people who are obsessing over the " aesthetic of Brazil" arent educated enough to know what's actually going on. The colors yellow and green have represented Brazil's national football team, which has won five World Cup championships, with pride for many years Brazilians stopped buying the jerseys in November because they were being involved in politics and the presidential election that had just taken place just before the World Cup began Numerous thousands of President Jair Bolsonaro's supporters showed up on the streets wearing the country's colors, and they persisted in doing so even after Bolsonaro lost to his opponent, former President Luis Nation Silva. So you can imagine their annoyance of seeing gringas and gringos in social media trying to be "Aesthetic" or "cool" while brazil was going through something political. And as I was walking with my bestfriend drinking my slurpie it hit me, we base our realtionships in these kinds of movies. Ive noticed it's because we believe there is no such thing as a happy ending and that once you have it all u start picking out the worst of it. That the relationship is no longer fueling, theres no need to grab his attention or flirt with him because his already yours and sometimes some people view that as boring and you rather continue having that fire you guys used to have before dating For example I asked my friend if they were planning to watch the summer I turned pretty season 2 and she said no, she stated that it was going to be boring because she already knew who she ended up with and that it was going to be all cringy and cheesy. And its funny that we would start betting on how long a school relationship would last ( which is 2 months btw) and how it was already well predicted. You would think that if you were dating everyone at your school you would find your " high school soulmate" but in reality you start to loose yourself.
