The HAL full form is Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. HAL is a state-owned Indian aerospace and defence company based in Bangalore, India. The Indian Ministry of Defence takes care of this. The state-owned company is primarily engaged in the aerospace business and is currently engaged in the manufacture and production of aircraft, design, helicopters, jet engines, and their spare parts. It has many facilities spread across India including Bangalore, Kanpur, Nasik, Koraput, Korwa, Lucknow, Kasaragod, and Hyderabad.
INFORMATION ABOUT HAL 1.HAL was founded in Bangalore on December 23, 1940, by Walchand Hirachand as Hindustan Aircraft Limited. The office started in a bungalow on Domlur Road called "Eventide". 2.During World War II, the government in March 1941. India bought a third of HAL and understood its strategic importance. 3.The company came under the administrative control of the Ministry of Industry and Procurement in December 1945.
7.Hindustan Aircraft Limited merged with Aeronautics India Limited in October 1964, and HAL was born. 8.In 1970 a separate HAL unit was formed for the development of Cheetah & Chetak helicopters in Bangalore. 9.Avionics Design Bureau was established in Hyderabad in 1971 to manufacture and develop UHF, IFF, HF, radio altimeter and components, etc. 10.Production of "Jaguar" aircraft began in 1979, following a licensing agreement with British Aerospace. 11.It signed an agreement with the USSR in 1982 for the production of the MiG-27 Ms.
