This is the time of the year for strong emotions and great decisions. A mo-

ment of gratitude, and reflection. We remember little or nothing of the resolutions we made a year ago, when 2019 was emerging new and packed with opportunities. And we may have no way of evaluating our achievements.

At this time, a new chapter in the history of our life is presented clean before us.

What will be written on it? What will we read in it a year from now?

Although a few things may seem to escape our control, the truth is that we will mark our own destiny ourselves. The options are predicted with the greatest clarity, and are limited to only two: to live our best life yet, or to live a life of mediocrity.

Interestingly, as rare and difficult as it may seem, the reality is that the conditions are set for this chapter called "Your Name 2020" to be loaded with extraordinary achievements. And when I talk about achievements, I'm not necessarily referring to financial success, although I don't rule it out either. Rather, I am referring to achievements in our character, in the quality of our thoughts and the words that come out of our lips, in our habits, in our influence and impact on the lives of others, in our marriage, our children, our family, in our circle of influence, in our health, and in so many other things that should always be a priority.

The key and the difference is marked by God. For me and in my choice, the God of the Bible.

The Holy Scriptures say in Jeremiah 9:23, 24: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight, says the Lord."

Hopefully this 2020 God touch your life with a desire to meet him, and make him your best friend. How different your life will be then, and how you will impact the lives of others.

Este es el momento del año de las fuertes emociones, y de grandes decisiones. Un momento de agradecimiento, y de reflexión. Poco o nada recordamos de las resoluciones que tomamos hace un año, cuando 2019 se perfilaba nuevo y lleno de oportunidades. Y posiblemente no tengamos forma de evaluar nuestros logros.

En esta época, un nuevo capítulo en la historia de nuestra vida se presenta limpio delante nuestro. ¿Qué se escribirá en él? ¿Qué leeremos en él dentro de un año? Aunque algunas pocas cosas pudieran parecer escapar a nuestro control, lo cierto es que nuestro destino lo marcaremos nosotros mismos.

Las opciones están predichas con la mayor claridad, y se limitan a solo dos: vivir nuestra mejor vida, o vivir una vida de mediocridad. Curiosamente, por raro y difícil que parezca, la realidad es que las condiciones están dadas para que este capítulo llamado "Tu nombre 2020" esté cargado de logros extraordinarios. Y cuando hablo de logros no me estoy refiriendo necesariamente a éxitos financieros, aunque tampoco los descarto. Más bien me estoy refiriendo a logros en nuestro caracter, en la calidad de nuestros pensamientos y las palabras que pronuncian nuestros labios, en nuestros hábitos, en nuestra influencia e impacto en la vida de otros, en nuestro matrimonio, nuestros hijos, nuestra familia, en nuestro círculo de influencia, en nuestra salud, y en tantas otras cosas que debieran de ser siempre prioridad.

La clave y la diferencia la marca Dios. Para mí y en mi elección, el Dios de la Biblia.

Dicen las Sagrada Escrituras en Jeremías 9:23, 24: "Así dijo el Señor: No se alabe el sabio en su sabiduría, ni en su valentía se alabe el valiente, ni el rico se alabe en sus riquezas. Mas alábese en esto el que se hubiere de alabar: en entenderme y conocerme, que yo soy Dios, que hago misericordia, juicio y justicia en la tierra; porque estas cosas quiero, dice el Señor."

Ojalá este 2020 Dios toque tu vida con un deseo de conocerle, y de hacer de él tu mejor amigo. ¡Qué diferente será entonces tu vida, y la forma como impactarás la vida de los demás. ¡Bendiciones!

Ariadna Gutierrez Miss Colombia 2014 y Primera Finalista Miss Universo 2015 El 68° concurso de Miss Universo se llevó a cabo el 8 de diciembre de 2019 en Tyler Perry Studios en Atlanta, Georgia. Catriona Gray de Filipinas coronó a su sucesor y nueva reina, Zozibini Tunzi de Sudáfrica al final del evento. Esta es la tercera victoria de Sudáfrica después de su reciente coronación en 2017. Esta edición también vio la victoria de la primera mujer negra ganadora desde que Leila Lopes fue coronada en 2011.

Auto Festival introduced a new breed of exotic auto

shows, pioneering with an event where supercars can

be enjoyed in their natural environment: a race track.

Definitely a much more fun experience than racing traffic at 65-mph on beltway 8.

True, exotic auto shows and festivals are fun to attend, walking around and admiring some of our city's finest cars. But let's be honest, hands down there is a great difference between watching 100 cars sitting on a parking lot or at an event center, versus 30 supercars roaring on a race track. Whether you are on the driver seat or you are just a spectator, the adrenaline flows nonstop. Here you definitely don't need coffee to keep you on your toes.

Celebrated with perfect weather conditions and great turnout of speed and luxury enthusiasts, the 5th Annual 2019 Edition of the Houston Exotic Auto Festival offered supercar owners the opportunity to experience their vehicles in a controlled, safe and professional race circuit, creating a dream-day at the Motor Speedway Resort MSR Houston.

Having taken a safety course with LUXCIOR's and the H.E.A.F.'s professional Race Pilot and Track Supervisor, Emilio Aragon, drivers were authorized to enter the track, first for a Parade Lap (warming lap), then for Track-Time (a blast).

A spectacular Ducati motorcycle demonstration, organized by Carlos Lescale of V1 Moto and Sara Dean Cole with the top riders from the Ducati Club, made a great attraction.

A selection of vintage race cars on the track, brought by Speedstar Motorsports, gave a touch of history and flavor to the festival. The presence of the only $1,2 Million Tramontana in the US was another big attraction.

For those who had the chance to spin their cars at MSR Houston, the 17 turns, 2.38mile FIA approved track, gave some hard times to drivers specially at turn 13 called “The Launch”, where early braking is key to accommodate the car for the next “The Keyhole” turns, and turn 2 “The Carrousel” with its endless turn. Both the Huracan Evo and the Urus devoured the straights in an eye-blink and braked in impressive no-distance, turned like go karts and provided precise feedback to the driver.

From the spectator stands to the track, a symphony of V8, V10 and V12 engines enlivened the day. It was entertaining, as a common factor, to see all drivers of exotic cars, to take the last turn to “The Pit Straight” far away from the concrete wall.

In an event like this one nothing can be left to chance. All necessary safety measures were carefully planned and taken to ensure the safety of the drivers and everyone else. Sure enough, we all enjoyed a "Fast & Fabulous" day of high-octane fun, with "0" incidents to report, in and out of the track.

For nearly 20 years the Houston Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church has been dedicated to serving our community. For the past six years and thanks to the support of a dedicated group of certified volunteers, and our "Pathfinders Club" (children and teens up to 21 years of age) the Houston Maranatha Community Center -HMCC-, has assisted hundreds of families undergoing financial distress and through times of disaster (such as with hurricanes) as a distribution center for the Houston Food Bank.

During the months of crisis following Hurricane Harvey, the HMCC played a significant role in providing hands-on assistance to many families in desperate need.

In our quest for better ways to serve families in Houston’s inner city, we are building a new church and a much larger community center, located at 5550 Creekmont Drive, Houston, TX 77091, minutes from Northwest freeway at 610 loop.

Education, counseling, community and social resources, health fairs and food services, are just some of the components of our program to help the less fortunate in our community.

We have the vision, the know-how, the experience, the plan, the human resources, the land, the infrastructure and the city of Houston and Houston Food Bank's full support to put it all together.

We are asking for your help to complete Phase 1 of the project, which will make it fully operational withing the next 90 days.

Phase 2 will take place at some point before the end of 2020. If funds allows, we are also looking to the opportunity to purchase an additional lot across the street.

Your tax deductible cash donation or in-kind gift, will make a noticeable difference in our Houston community, and the lives of many families and children.

All things considered, Houston is one of the best U.S. cities to live in IN PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS The U.S. Declaration of Independence speaks about the “pursuit of happiness” as one of our most basic rights. However, everyone gets joy from different things, whether it’s family, friends, activities, entertainment or work.

What people might not realize is that the city where you live may also determine how happy you are.

Location plays a hand in how bright or gloomy our days are. For years, researchers have studied the science of happiness and found that its key ingredients include a positive mental state, healthy body, strong social connections, job satisfaction and financial well-being. However, money can only make you so happy – people who make $75,000 a year won’t get any higher satisfaction from more money.

As this study aims to illustrate, moving to a certain city may help you be more content. WalletHub drew upon the various findings of positive-psychology research in order to determine which among more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities is home to the happiest people in America. Plano, about a half-hour drive north of Dallas, had solid scores in all three dimensions, with a seventh place ranking in emotional and physical well-being, sixth place ranking in income and employment and an eighth place ranking in community and environment.

Of these 10 cities, California and Texas account for 60%, with each being home to three cities each that have a population of over 1 million. Texas also has the distinction of having the largest number of the fastest-growing cities (Houston being one of them) with a total of six out of the top 13. Also, half of the top ten cities with the largest population gains were located in Texas, although the city that gained the most new residents throughout 2013 and 2014 was New York City, which is also the most populous city in the country.

HISPANICS IN THE U.S. AND HOUSTON U.S. Hispanic population reached new high The U.S. Hispanic population reached a record 59.9 million in 2018, up 1.2 million over the previous year and up from 47.8 million in 2008, according to newly released U.S. Census Bureau population estimates. Over the past decade, however, population growth among Hispanics has slowed as the annual number of births to Hispanic women has declined and immigration has decreased, particularly from Mexico.

Even so, Latinos remain an important part of the nation’s overall demographic landscape. Between 2008 and 2018, the Latino share of the total U.S. population increased from 16% to 18%. Latinos accounted for about half (52%) of all U.S. population growth over this period.

HOUSTON'S DIVERSITY Houston Named The Most Diverse City In The U.S. According to a WalletHub.com survey, Houston continues to be the most diverse city in the U.S., beating out New York and Los Angeles. This was initially established in 2013 when it became national news, and it has been confirmed time and time again.

Houston, a city of nearly 3 million residents and growing fast, is a city without a majority, where more than 140 different languages are spoken, with Spanish being the most prominent after English.

According to thecitywithnolimits.com, which used data from the Kinder Institute and Rice University, Houston is more diverse than the U.S., enjoying a racial diversity that's 43 percent Hispanic, 34 Anglo, 15 percent Black, and 8 percent Asian and other ethnicities.

Other Texas cities were also ranked in the top 10 of diverse cities in the U.S.

Dallas was ranked 5th on the list, followed by Arlington which was ranked 9th. Several other Texas cities were rated as somewhat diverse, and others didn't make the list at all.

With Texas quickly becoming the most moved-to state in the U.S. next to Florida, it’s estimated that about 275 new people move to Houston every day.

It’s easy to get caught up in this hype without truly knowing how a move to such a large metropolitan could impact your life.

Relocating to Houston TX is a hot topic that is weighed heavily with pros and cons. And believe us when we say there are a lot of factors to consider. Pro: the job market. Con: navigating some extreme and challenging weather, and traffic.

What makes Houston more desirable than other Texas cities like Dallas, Austin or San Antonio? H-Town is progressive and may be attracting almost as many millennials to its city as Austin. It’s also one of the most rapidly growing cities in the country, which isn’t just by happenstance. Perhaps the reason people move to Houston boils down to the fact that it is a well-rounded, desirable place to live. Ask any Houstonian and they’ll beam with pride and explain just how much living in Houston has influenced their life for the better.

LIVING IN HOUSTON IS MORE AFFORDABLE THAN OTHER LARGE CITIES With all things considered, Houston’s cost of living is reasonable, but it fluctuates based on several factors, including where you live, where you shop and what you enjoy doing for fun! In a big city like Houston, living close to work can save you money on gas and commute time, but might cost you more in living expenses.

In comparison to other cities with similar offerings, Houston is actually a cheaper, which is a huge plus. If you were to compare the cost of living,

Houston is 8% cheaper than living in Chicago. More appropriately, consider that the cost of living in Houston is 13% cheaper than Austin, which could play into why some residents ultimately choose Houston as their Texas city of choice.

Business is welcomed, which is apparent with so many leading companies placing their headquarters in Houston.

Houston is also home to the largest medical center in the world. Graduates from the world’s most prestigious universities come to the Med Center for positions at the many hospitals including the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center or to further their education at Baylor College of Medicine.

The influx of young talent has also created an entrepreneurial environment in the Greater Houston area. A new and thriving startup scene has emerged in our city.

The growing economy feeds into an overall positive atmosphere throughout the area, which plays into a more positive quality of life. The better the economy, the less people have to worry about job security and being able to keep the lights on. No city has a perfect economy, but Houston is definitely on top.

5 PRINCIPLES TO STIMULATE NEUROGENESIS 1. Physical exercise Physical activity and neurogenesis are directly related. Neurogénesis: es un proceso verdaderamente notable por el cual nuestro cerebro puede estimular la creación de nuevas neuronas y sus conexiones.

Quizás encuentre esto algo contradictorio. Después de todo, recientemente, en los círculos científicos, se apoyó activamente la idea de que con la edad el cerebro humano pierde sus células nerviosas: simplemente colapsan y las consecuencias son irreversibles. Además, se asumió que el trauma o el abuso del alcohol condenan a una persona a la inevitable pérdida de flexibilidad de conciencia (maniobrabilidad y actividad cerebral), que caracteriza a una persona sana que se adhiere a hábitos saludables.

Pero hoy ya se ha dado un paso hacia una palabra que nos da esperanza: la palabra es neuroplasticidad. Sí, es absolutamente cierto que con la edad nuestro cerebro cambia, que las lesiones y los malos hábitos (alcohol, tabaco, falta de actividad física, etc.) lo dañan. Pero el cerebro tiene la capacidad de regenerarse, de nuevo puede crear tejidos nerviosos y puentes, conexiones entre ellos.

Pero para que esta sorprendente acción suceda, es necesario que una persona actúe, para que esté activa y estimule las habilidades naturales de su cerebro.

5 PRINCIPIOS PARA ESTIMULAR LA NEUROGÉNESIS 1. Ejercicio físico La actividad física y la neurogénesis están directamente relacionadas. Cada vez que hacemos que nuestro cuerpo funcione (ya sea caminando, nadando o haciendo ejercicio en el gimnasio), ayudamos a oxigenar nuestro cerebro, es decir, lo saturamos con oxígeno. Además, con el hecho de que fluye sangre más pura y más oxigenada al cerebro, también se estimula la producción de endorfinas. Las endorfinas mejoran nuestro estado de ánimo y, por lo tanto, podemos lidiar con el estrés, lo que nos permite fortalecer muchas estructuras nerviosas. En otras palabras, cualquier actividad que reduzca el nivel de estrés contribuye a la neurogénesis. Sin embargo, es deseable proporcionar esta glucosa por medio de una fruta, una cucharada de miel o una taza de avena.

Y los alimentos ricos en ácidos grasos omega-3 son, sin duda, los más adecuados para mantener y activar la neurogénesis.

4. Actividad Sexual El sexo es otro gran arquitecto de nuestro cerebro, el motor natural de la neurogénesis. ¿No puede adivinar la razón de esta conexión? La cuestión es esta: el sexo no solo alivia la tensión y regula el estrés, sino que también nos proporciona una poderosa carga de energía, que estimula las regiones cerebrales responsables de la memoria. Y las hormonas como la serotonina, la dopamina o la oxitocina, producidas en momentos de relaciones sexuales con una pareja, son beneficiosas para crear nuevas células nerviosas.

5. Mente flexible - cerebro fuerte Hay muchas formas de mantener la flexibilidad de la mente. i deseas tener un encuentro con más de 500 años de historia y lo

más pintoresco de Sudamérica, combinado con ulgunas de las pla

yas más bellas del Caribe, Cartagena es el lugar. A partir de diciem

bre, y hasta abril, el clima en Cartagena es paradisíaco. De manera que si tienes oportunidad de escaparte unos días, ni lo piense; garantizado lo vas a disfrutar.

Históricamente, Cartagena fue uno de los puertos más importantes para controlar y explotar las nuevas tierras conquistadas por los españoles al otro lado del Atlántico. La ciudad se fundó por Pedro de Heredia en 1533, aunque técnicamente esta zona ya estaba habitada por el pueblo indígena Calamarí.

Del periodo de las colonias todavía se conservan muchos edificios y monumentos, tanto civiles como militares, principal motivo por el que Cartagena es, sin lugar a dudas, la ciudad más pintoresca de Colombia. Más adelante alcanzó su independencia en 1811, y avanzó hasta convertirse en la ciudad más visitada de Colombia.

El casco histórico, o la Ciudad Amurallada, fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1984 y es una auténtica joya colonial. Aquí es donde se encuentran las principales atracciones de Cartagena, aunque nuestro consejo es que camines sin prestar demasiada atención al mapa. Es la mejor forma de dar con rincones desconocidos y encantadores. Esto es lo que no puedes perderte en un viaje a Cartagena.

Para empezar a conocer mejor la ciudad y sus anécdotas, una buena idea es unirte a un free tour. Y si solo tuvieras un día de tiempo, echa un vistazo a este tour al completo por Cartagena.

En lo que antiguamente era la única puerta de la ciudad, hoy en día encontramos la Torre del Reloj, uno de los símbolos de Cartagena. Te tocará atravesarla para iniciar tu recorrido por el corazón del centro histórico.

El espacio que se abre tras la torre es la Plaza de los Coches, donde destaca en su centro la estatua de Pedro de Heredia, rodeada por impresionantes palacios de época colonial. Si eres amante de los postres, no te olvides de pasar por el Portal de los Dulces, una calle porticada en un lateral de la plaza con tiendas especializadas en dulces típicos de la zona. Ojo, si te ofrecen para probar puede que luego te quieran cobrar!

Si sigues el recorrido hacia el sur, llegarás a otra plaza, la Plaza de la Aduana, una de las más grandes y más lindas de la ciudad. El nombre hace referencia a la Casa de la Aduana, que ocupaba el enorme edificio donde hoy está el ayuntamiento. Te dará la bienvenida la estatua de Cristóbal Colón, junto a una mujer de origen indígena.

Aunque las encontrarás por toda la ciudad, esta zona es una ocasión perfecta para descubrir a las famosas palanqueras. Se tratan de unas mujeres que representan a los primeros esclavos libres de toda América que escapaban hasta la localidad de San Basilio de Palenque. Las verás engalanadas en unos estupendos trajes de colores y vendiendo fruta, aunque el mejor suvenir es una foto con ellas. Eso sí, ten en cuenta que es posible que te pidan una propinilla. Lo mejor comprarle alguna pieza de fruta de la que venden, y gustosamente se prestarán a hacerse una foto. Si te interesa conocer más sobre su historia, puedes hacer un tour de un día a San Basilio de Palenque desde Cartagena.

Uno de los rincones favoritos de Cartagena es la Plaza de San Pedro Claver.

Tanto la plaza como la iglesia contigua están dedicadas a este misionero catalán que puso todos sus esfuerzos para proteger y ayudar a los esclavos negros que pasaban por el puerto. Su enorme labor altruista lo llevó a ser beatificado en 1850. Hay una estatua de esta admirable figura en la plaza, y en el altar mayor de la Iglesia descansan sus restos. Además no te pierdas las esculturas en metal tan curiosas que hay entre ambas plazas.

En el casco histórico de Cartagena se pueden visitar varios museos interesantes. Los más famosos son el Museo Naval del Caribe, que muestra la historia de la ciudad y de la navegación en un edificio imponente, el Museo del Oro con objetos de la época precolombina o el Museo Histórico de Cartagena ubicado en el edificio que fue la sede la inquisición, construido en 1770.

Frente a este último museo se encuentra la Plaza de Bolívar, lugar en el que antiguamente se ejecutaban a los sentenciados por la inquisición, pero que hoy luce la estatua ecuestre del revolucionario Simón Bolívar, liberador de América Latina frente al imperio español. Se trata de un símbolo histórico de la ciudad.

Otro de los símbolos es sin duda la Catedral de Santa Catalina de Alejandría, que comenzó a construirse en el año 1577 y que se considera una de las catedrales más antiguas de toda América. Entrar es gratis.

Desde aquí puedes seguir al norte por la bonita calle de Don Sancho, con sus bonitas casas coloniales de fachadas de colores e impresionantes balcones.

Una de ellas es la Casa de Sir Francis Drake, donde al parecer vivió este temible pirata (temible sobre todo para los españoles). Parece mentira que una misma persona pueda ser considerado un pirata y ostentar el título de Sir a la vez… Ejemplo claro de que la historia es diferente, la cuente quien la cuente.

Esta calle termina en el Teatro Adolfo Mejía (o Teatro Heredia), con más de 100 años de antigüedad. Por fuera es bonito, pero por dentro debe ser una pasada, con elementos arquitectónicos y decorativos únicos. Hablamos de palcos con mármol de Carrara, una escalera construida en Italia y transportada en barco, adornos cubiertos de oro de 22 quilates, o un impresionante mural en el techo… casi nada!!

Un poquito más al norte se encuentra el edificio de Las Bóvedas, al parecer la última construcción militar de época colonial en la ciudad. La estructura de 47 arcos y 24 bóvedas tenía el objetivo de resistir los ataques exteriores y poder refugiarse. En la actualidad acoge un mercado con productos típicos y donde poder comprar algún que otro recuerdo.

Cartagena fue el puerto español más importante del nuevo mundo, y por tanto el lugar más atacado por sus enemigos y por los piratas. Este hecho hizo que se dedicaran enormes esfuerzos para construir un sistema de defensa que pudiera repeler todos estos asaltos. Hablamos de las murallas que rodeaban todo el casco histórico y de sus baluartes. Una excelente noticia es que se han mantenido en muy buen estado y son unas de las atracciones principales de la ciudad. Hay varios tramos de muralla por donde se puede pasear, te dejamos la línea en el mapa más abajo.

Los baluartes que no puedes perderte son el Baluarte de San Francisco Javier, el Baluarte de San Ignacio y cómo no, el Baluarte de Santo Domingo, al que tienes que subir si o si para ver el atardecer. Y mejor si lo haces sentado en la terraza del Café del Mar y con una cervecita en la mano. La opción mochilera es comprar una cerveza a alguno de los muchos vendedores ambulantes, y sentarte en la muralla con una estampa maravillosa.

Otra manera inolvidable de vivir la puesta de sol es haciendo un crucero por la bahía.

Pero el verdadero bastión para defender la ciudad de los enemigos fue el Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. Se encuentra sobre una colina a las afueras de la ciudad amurallada y representa la mayor construcción levantada por los españoles en los siglos que duró su ocupación de las colonias. Merece la pena su visita (hay una parte de túneles que no es apta para los que sufran claustrofobia). Además las vistas desde allí son muy chulas.

La Plaza de Santo Domingo es uno de los puntos deberías visitar a cualquier hora del día, gracias sobre todo a su bullicio. Si no has tenido la oportunidad de ver ninguna estatua de Botero en tu viaje por Colombia, estás de enhorabuena, porque aquí está plantada la Gorda Gertrudris, con sus inconfundibles curvas.

Cerca de allí podrás admirar una de las casas coloniales más cuidadas de Cartagena: la Casa del Conde Pestagua, que era propiedad de este importante mandatario. Hoy en día se ha convertido en un hotel de lujo y spa. Si te quieres pegar un súper capricho, puedes reservar una de sus 11 suites. Y otra de las mansiones más importantes del periodo colonial es la Casa Del Marqués De Valdehoyos, ahora de propiedad pública y que ahora se destina a alojar a los huéspedes ilustres que visitan a Cartagena.

El barrio de Getsemaní se trata de una pequeña maraña de calles, con edificios más modestos que los que se encuentran en el casco histórico, pero con un carácter y un ambiente muy particular. Pasea en busca de street art, Cartagena es una explosión de color y creatividad, y no te olvides de pasar por: La Plaza de la Santísima Trinidad: el corazón del barrio, siempre animado, sobre todo cuando cae la noche y se llena de puestecitos de comida callejera, de artistas y de buen rollo.

La Plazuela del Pozo: un pequeño rincón con mucho encanto donde descansar tomando un café.

Calle de San Juan y Callejón Angosto: para sentir el verdadero ambiente local de Cartagena.

Carrera 10: una calle con montones de alojamientos mochileros, restaurantes baratos, agencias de viaje…

Al sur del casco histórico se ha desarrollado la zona más moderna y dinámica de Cartagena: Bocagrande. Si tienes varios días, un buen plan es ir al cine del centro comercial Plaza Bocagrande y a la vuelta pasear por el malecón al anochecer. Es la mejor forma para ir bajando todas las empanadillas, bandejas paisas, arepas y delicias colombianas que has comido, además las vistas son preciosas.

Para tener las mejores vistas, sube al Cerro de la Popa. La panorámica de la ciudad desde es impresionante, y además puedes visitar el bonito Convento de la Popa en lo alto. Según tenemos entendido, la única forma de llegar es en taxi.

Puedes aprovechar que estas por esa zona para visitar el Mercado de Bazurto, donde encuentras la Cartagena verdadera. Hay puestos de todo tipo, desde ropa a fruta, verdura, carnes… Eso sí, si no estás acostumbrado al bullicio, a los olores y al caos, quizás no sea tu lugar ideal. También puedes hacer un tour gratis por el mercado. ¿Ganas de fiesta? Una de las formas más divertidas de conocer la ciudad es subiendo a la chiva rumbera, una especie de bus turístico fiestero donde hay guía, música, bebida y fritura típica.

La gastronomía colombiana es deliciosa, y en Cartagena puedes hacer un tour foodie que te enseñará mucho sobre el tema e incluye degustaciones.

Si tienes la posibilidad, acércate a saludar al monumento de la India Catalina, la que fue intérprete y mujer de confianza de Pedro de Heredia. Es un homenaje a los primeros pobladores de este zona y por tanto sus antepasados.

Dejo lo mejor para el final, que en medio del Caribe obviamente son las extraordinarias playas, con un agua a la temperatura perfecta.

Por último, no dejes de visitar Bocagrande, Castillogrande y El Laguito, que son las áreas más exclusivas de la ciudad. ¡Disfruta!
