Friday 16 December 2016, 1.10pm What is a relaxed performance? A relaxed performance is designed to be less formal than other events and is intended to be welcoming to people who may not feel comfortable attending the theatre. Audience members are free to move about the concert hall or go in or out as needed. Making noise during the performance is acceptable – please join in with the carol singing! The lights will remain on during the concert. Audience members will have the chance to meet the performers and try some musical instruments themselves. Who can attend? • Anyone can attend this concert. It is especially open to: • Visitors with autism spectrum conditions; • Anyone with a learning disability or a sensory and • communication disorder; • People living with dementia; • Families with small children; • Friends, family members and carers are also welcome! We encourage anyone who wishes to discuss their requirements further to contact us.

How to find us The Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama is situated on the south side of Manchester city centre in the heart of the University’s campus. It is located just behind the Manchester Museum, on Oxford Road, approximately a mile south of the city centre. Access The Martin Harris Centre is fully accessible. The Centre has a ramp at the Coupland Street entrance and there is a level floor entrance to the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall. Both entrances to the building have auto-opening doors. There are wheelchair spaces in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall. Patrons are advised to discuss access requirements with Box Office at the time of booking. The box office has a low level counter and there are disabled toilet facilities available on the ground floor. The Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall has been fitted with an infra-red induction loop. Receivers for this facility are available from the Box Office. Please advise Box Office of your requirements at the time of booking. There is seating in the main foyer and baby changing facilities available.


Parking The nearest car park to the Centre is the multi-storey car park off Higher Cambridge Street. Disabled (blue badge) visitors will be allowed to access on-campus parking as near as possible to the Centre. This will be free of charge and accessible via the intercom help point at the entry to campus (to the left of the entrance to Booth Street West multi-storey). This can be arranged in advance. Where it is not possible to accommodate this, there are plenty of dedicated disabled bays at the multi-storey car park and these are also free of charge; however, to obtain free exit the paper ticket taken on entry must be validated by the attendant before returning to your vehicle. There is a drop off point outside the venue. The multi-storey on Booth Street West, has been awarded the ‘Park Mark’ award. Safer parking status, Park Mark®, is awarded to parking facilities that have met the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police.
