Chinese New Year Celebrations

Alan Bates – Comedy Hypnotist

Come along and help Teviot celebrate the Chinese New Year in true oriental style.

Wed 2 Feb All day event @ Teviot FREE!

ADVENTURE

Doug Scott – Big Walls Before Doug Scott came to international prominence as Britain’s leading high-altitude mountaineer, he was at the forefront in the development of big wall climbing.

COMEDY CENTRAL LIVE Feat: Eric Lampaert & Rob Heeney Resembling the lovechild of Tim Burton and a hairy lampost, Eric Lampaert has been described as ‘delightfully weird’ (Time Out) which we think is pretty accurate. A set from Eric will never disappoint. He is an energetic, excited, over exaggerated character who will keep you engaged and entertained.

Tue 1 Feb Doors 8pm @ Pleasance Cabaret Bar £5 / £4 (students)

In this special evening he’ll tell of his own adventures – and the friends he’s shared them with – including the ascent with Chris Bonington of The Ogre. The abseil accident and subsequent tale of survival and escape from this ferociously steep Karakorum granite peak tends to overshadow that the climbing done by Doug and the first ascent was outstanding, described by the Huber brothers as the most difficult technical climbing ever done at altitude.

Wed 2 Feb @ Pleasance Theatre 8pm £9 / £6 (students)

International Comedy Hypnotist Alan Bates presents a slick fast moving presentation. The Stars of the Stage may find themselves winning the Lottery on stage, meeting celebrities, starring in the cast of River Dance or even conducting an orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. Not to be missed!

Thu 3 Feb 8pm @ Pleasance Theatre £5 / £3 (students)
