The conceptual design for VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic located in Gardnerville, NV intends to expand access to the veterans’ healthcare needs in the region. The proposed clinic utilizes the VA’s PACT-Model, which is focused on patient-centered concepts staffed by high-functioning teams. The entry plaza features an inviting canopy which provides protection at the drop off during inclement weather and also contains gardens with seating areas to promote healing. The design of the interior merges with the exterior elements to create a welcoming experience for visitors and patients and floor to ceiling glass walls allow natural light to flood the space while providing views outside.
The connections with nature found throughout the project, when combined with the PACT model for VA clinics result in spaces that promote physical, emotional and spiritual healing for the Gardnerville area Veterans.

The Craftsman on Elliot is a mixed-use development that combines the best of urban living with a touch of rural charm. The design of the development is inspired by the agrarian history of the region, with a focus on handcrafted details and natural materials. The development will feature multi-family living, retail shops, and office spaces, providing residents, shoppers, and businesses with everything they need in one convenient location.
The multi-family living spaces will offer a range of options to suit different lifestyles, from spacious apartments to cozy lofts. Each unit will be thoughtfully designed with an eye for detail, featuring high-end finishes, modern appliances, and ample storage. The living spaces will also have access to a range of community amenities, including a fitness center, a pool area, and a lounge area for socializing with neighbors.
The Craftsman on Elliot is a development that celebrates the beauty of the past while embracing the conveniences of the present. With its mix of modern and traditional elements, the development is sure to become a landmark in the community, providing residents and businesses with a place to call home for years to come.

The concept design features a unique combination of materials such as board and batten, metal panel, masonry, wood, and board-formed concrete. Design Charrette - Folded Roof
The project site is located at the heart of an existing life science campus alongside a Japanese-style garden with a large koi pond and walking trails. The team wanted to ensure any design intervention would elevate the quality of and access to the natural amenities of the campus, while helping to make connections to other amenities dispersed throughout the existing buildings.
Acting as a centerpiece structure for a large life science campus, our client wanted this building to push the boundaries of tilt-up construction and find unique ways to allow tenants and visitors to move through it, further encouraging an inviting and active community space for healthy living.

Folded Roof
The design of the fitness center draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of San Diego’s canyons, creating an organic, flowing structure that harmonizes with the natural landscape. The roof, inspired by the delicate folds of an origami crane, elegantly drapes over the interior spaces, providing both shelter and a sense of movement.
This dynamic form not only captures the serene yet powerful essence of the canyons but also symbolizes transformation and balance. The interplay of natural materials and innovative design elements fosters a holistic environment, encouraging wellness and connection to nature.

What sets this project apart is its innovative concept – spaces designed not just for lease, but for sale as well, a novel approach in the realm of office buildings. The client envisioned a flagship office space that could also be marketed as condos, adding a unique twist to the traditional office setting. Our design mandate was clear: to seamlessly blend in with the iconic architecture of Las Vegas, yet possess a distinctiveness that would make it stand out amidst the Pyramids and Spheres.
Our aim was to address the client’s challenges headon. This project entailed a competitive landscape, pitting us against another architect. Prior to the bidding phase, the client had encountered difficulties with the previous architect. Much like a home remodel veering off course, this project was teetering on the brink of failure.
Central to our approach was a deep understanding of the surrounding context. Situated in the burgeoning heart of Las Vegas, this area holds immense potential for growth. With developers, contractors, and brokers clamoring for spaces in this vibrant locale, our mission was clear: to create a flagship office space that would not only cater to the needs of the client but also resonate with the evolving city-scape.
In essence, our challenge was twofold: to integrate harmoniously within the city’s architectural tapestry while exuding a captivating allure that would set it apart from the crowd.

We aimed to provide the client with an unparalleled sense of arrival—a feeling of triumph and excellence. To achieve this, we designed an elevated podium for the buildings, complemented by a luxurious underground parking facility. This space was crafted to accommodate even the most prestigious vehicles, including Lamborghinis, ensuring that every detail, from the finishes to the aesthetics, exuded sophistication and elegance.

With history comes a pattern, soothing in the familiar ebb and flow. A glance backwards affirms wisdom to navigate moody waters ahead. But, despite familiar patterns, newness also abounds. When unexpected tidal currents compel and transport us to places sensory and divine, our souls are exalted. Memories are the things that last, and guided by that notion, we envisioned a place where memories can live.
Tides in Crescendo is the song of Villa Zarri’s past greatness manifested in the rippling concrete architecture and story of physical place, but most prominently through the essence of taste, punctuated by verdant, sometimes esoteric flavor chords that finish with a high note, a crescendo of sensory memory.
Paradoxically, Tides in Crescendo also represents new territory for Villa Zarri with the prospect of discovery tempting a journey, like a million sparkles of light glittering over waves on the horizon. THE /// C U R R E N T beer pavilion is a destination, a place where the architecture feels like emergence through an exhilarating, kinetic wave, opaque in the blink of an eye, yet shattered in other glances like diamond patterns on a breaker. The song we hope you hear in Tides in Crescendo is one unfamiliar that piques curiosity in what lies ahead; the conceptualized architectural forms represent consuming, modern new waves of brewery experiences washing over what came before, a new way to connect, make memories and immerse in the love of beer.
