Guidance & Documentation

AutoTrac provides you with a hands-free guidance solution helping to manage in-field efficiency and greatly reduce operator fatigue. A full guidance system consists of three components: a display, receiver, and steering controller. By adding a display and receiver, you are also able to start documenting operational passes for record keeping and analysis of potential improvements.

AutoTrac assisted steering guides the machine with accuracy in a variety of field conditions, bringing the following advantages to your operation:

n Increases your profitability by reducing overlaps and skips, leading to savings in fuel, equipment wear, and time.

n Protects emerging crops by creating more consistently spaced rows and reducing the potential for crop damage with subsequent passes through the field.

n Reduces soil compaction by using tramline management more effectively.

n Improves your productivity by taking your focus off accurately steering the machine and allowing yourself to remain more alert in the field.

n Extends your time in the field as AutoTrac allows you to confidently create evenly spaced rows past sunset and in rain, dust, or fog.

Displays

A display is the computer of your guidance and documentation setup. It utilizes the positioning signal from the receiver to determine the location of the unit, document the operational data, and send steering directions to the steering controller.

Machine Connectivity

The John Deere Modular Telematics Gateway (MTG), or modem, facilitates data transfer between machines and John Deere Operations Center. This enables automatic data transfer, mobile location tracking, remote service support and ExpertAlerts, and features such as coverage/guidance line sharing and machine sync.

It supports remote diagnostics and monitoring, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making for agricultural operations.

The JDLink R Modem4G kit enables a quick upgrade to existing machines from 2G or 3G to 4G LTE. The R Modem is designed to work with the existing brackets and mounting locations on most equipment types and is required for the use of Machine Sync.

The M modem is simple to install with a universal harness connected to the machine's ISOBUS port and internal antenna. The M modem has the same capabilities as the R modem, with the exception of Machine Sync, and allows for installation in machines without CANBUS, or in highway vehicles.

JDLINK BOOST

JDLink Boost allows producers to stay connected via satellite in areas where traditional cell reception is unavailable.

Data Management, Analysis, & Record Keeping

Farmers make decisions every single day, season, and year. Proper, timely, and detailed information can assist in making the right decisions for tillage, planting, application, harvesting, and marketing.

Operations Center web (and the Operations Center mobile app) is a free online operation management system that enables the collection and utilization of your farm data from anywhere. Paired with JDLink and a John Deere display, you can have an automatic flow of your machine and agronomic data to monitor and measure the work you’re doing on your farm.

FIELD ANALYZER

Once the work is done, use the data from the season to help guide decisions for future passes or the next growing season. Field Analyzer is a tool to help identify how farming practices during the growing season contributed to crop performance.

MACHINE ANALYZER

Reviewing and comparing equipment usage can generate useful insights into an operation. Machine Analyzer gathers various equipment and technology measurements from JDLink™ connected machines into a customizable view, making it easier to put that data into action.

WORK PLANNER

Equipment setup is one of the key tasks the operator must do in the cab before starting field work. Creating work plans in Work Planner not only saves time for operators, but it also ensures work is done right. Once work plans are created, send the planned work to the Gen 4 or G5 display from anywhere when paired with a modem.

WORK ANALYZER

Quickly review work data to gain insights or gather data for reporting. Work Analyzer unlocks the value of work data with its simplified data views that are easily filtered and sorted. Once work data is in a preferred view, export data so that it may be reviewed and shared with others in a way that meets their needs.

LAND

Fields, boundaries, headlands, guidance tracks, and flags can be viewed, managed, and created on a map or table within Land.

These features are just a sample of things you can do with Operations Center, as the open platform nature allows you to utilize your data with third party applications where desired. The data journey can be an intimidating one, but Horizon Ag & Turf is here to help.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to our Precision Technology Team today to have a conversation on how we can assist you in making full use of your machine and agronomic data.

EQUIPMENT MOBILE

Crop Sensing-HarvestLab 3000

The HarvestLab 3000 sensor enables an accurate measurement and documentation of dry matter, starch, protein, neutral detergent fiber, and acid detergent fiber in different crop types using advanced near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy technology. It can be used for three different applications:

Constituent Sensing:

Used on a John Deere self-propelled forage harvester (SPFH) or a John Deere S700 or X9 combine to accurately measure crop constituents and moisture in real-time during harvest.

Stationary Application:

By adding a stationary kit, the HarvestLab 3000 can be connected to a computer for precise testing quickly wherever feed analysis is required.

HARVESTLAB SENSING PACKAGES

FORAGE CONSTITUENT SENSING ACTIVATION

Understanding silage quality allows for a more consistent and balanced ration for your herd. Better nutrition means healthier cows who produce more milk and reduces your input costs. With HarvestLab™ and Constituent Sensing you can:

n Adjust length of cut for better bunk density.

n Add inoculants by the ton to optimize fermentation.

n Ensure a balanced ration for best nutrition.

n Know the quality of feed at time of feeding; no guessing.

GRAIN SENSING ACTIVATION

The HarvestLab™ 3000 Grain Sensing solution enables customers to measure constituents like protein and oil in real-time during harvest. Every second the grain sensing system records and maps small grains moisture, protein, starch, and oil as it is harvested. This information can be viewed in the combine, allowing you to make grain marketing decisions on-the-go, or in Operations Center.

n Wheat/Barley/Corn: Moisture, Protein, Starch.

n Canola/Soybeans: Moisture, Protein, Oil.

MANURE SENSING ACTIVATION

HarvestLab™ 3000 continuously measures nutrients during the application at more than 4000 times per second. This allows for tracking of nutrient variations between different storage locations as well as differences within individual tank loads. This data is then used to control application amounts as well as the creation of as applied documentation for each nutrient across the field. With John Deere Manure Constituent Sensing, ingredients can be applied based on a target rate for one nutrient and a limit rate for a second ingredient (i.e., target rate for N, limit rate for P).

Rate and Application Control Hardware Solutions

Rate and Application Control solutions are designed to optimize and document the application of various inputs and improve overall farm management.
