This module focused on creating a timber workshop for a local creatives. Located in Ropewalks, Liverpool, a creative community hub is produced consisting of individual studio spaces overlooking a central atrium.

This is a creative community hub, comprising of a forward facing retail and display space with separate studio spaces overlooking a central atrium, in addition to a large communal workshop space to the rear of the building.

Its focus is to provide makers who are passionate about woodworking with a flexible work space to craft 5 1 2 3 A S A - Integra ted D esig n 1: Ex plorative Projec t - D esig n and socialise.

This module was a group project that introduced an urban strategy to an area located on London Road, Liverpool. Main points of the scheme include; closing London Road to vehicles, removing disused WCs and creating a focal point of the statue.

Photography studios with specif ic requirements - they needed to be of a certain size and use an existing building on site.

Focusing on a skateboards and the spaces needed for the production. An unpopular site in Liverpool was allocated, with the aim to make it a desired place to visit. This scheme also focused on the community aspect, aiming to make it a central hub to the skating scene.

Steel Frame The frame sits over the entire site, provides structure for the building and echoes the shape of historic buildings (Appendix 1).

Skatebale Roof The precast concrete roof, curves over walls to complete building. Further details are shown on the perspective section (over page). Additional skylight included as a result of the lighting study.

Wall Systems The walls curve beneath the roof. Glazed walls add more light to the workshops again, as a result of the lighting report. All walls and the floor will be concrete.

Foundations Pad foundations are used to support the steel frame.
