DESCRIPTION

While working at Christian Lahoude Stuido, I had the opportunity to work on the interior design and interior architecture of Jimmy Choo stores all over the world, as well as their faรงades - interior and exterior -, choosing new material combinations and participating in the new Jimmy Choo concept.

I was able to participate in the conception of new Jimmy Choo stores and rehabilitation of old ones. Update chosen stores and apply the new concept of Jimmy Choo, using different patterns, materials and displays.

Retail Design Interior Architecture

Retail Design Intern at Christian Lahoude Studio, New York 2019

DESCRIPTION

While working at Christian Lahoude studio, I also participated in the rehabilitation of a luggage and small leather goods store named T. Anthony on Maddison Avenue, Manhattan, New York.

T. Anthony specializes in travel luggages, handbags, computer bags, wallets and small leather goods. The owner wanted to do a rehabilitation of the space, to innovate. This project was focused on the creation of a new interior architecture, a new circulation, new product display and new fixtures.

Casa Lima.

DESCRIPTION

During my internship at NL Arquitetura e Design, I had the opportunity to work on the exterior and interior design of a private, remodeled house called Casa Lima near Lisbon, Portugal. I developed the entire conception and modeling 3D in Rhino, whereas the whole V-ray conception and photorealistic renders were made in 3Ds Max with an ending touch of Photoshop.

DESCRIPTION

While interning at NL Arquitetura e Design, I worked on the interior design of a private remodeled house and hostel to be, called Moradia da Encarnação in Lisbon, Portugal.

Each room had its own design with wallpapers from LondonArt®. All the 3D modeling and the V-ray conception renders were made in 3Ds Max with an ending touch of Photoshop. I also had the opportunity to design the presentation document.

Master’s Thesis Project about Biomimetics and Architecture Oct 2019 - Nov 2020

The “Vivre le vivant” project was inspired by the tropism of the sunflower and the alpine buttercup. The structures of the center will follow the sun and grow throughout the day. At nightfall, thanks to a harmonic system, they return to their place, ready to start all over again in the morning.

Architecture that adapts to the exterior, will directly affect interior space and exchanges between its users, it will create a dynamic and a space that is always changing.

The different characteristics of this center will allow the creation of a scenic design inside the structures, using the sunlight, thanks to the response of small architectures to external stimuli.

Interior Architecture Scenic design

DESCRIPTION

This exercise had the purpose to sanctify an object and create an event for it. We created and developed the architecture, scenic space and visual identity.

The sacred objet chosen was a pressure-cooker, but not an ordinary one. This one symbolized women, their need to release pressure, the urge to be heard. This exhibition consisted of 3 stages: the first named Boiling - where we presented many facts about women related issues, differences and facts; the second one was Roasting - where we could find installations to diversify and amuse the course of the exhibition - and the final part, Decompression, was where we would find a misted glass to write on an ephemeral message.

Intimité Verte.

Interior and exterior Architecture

DESCRIPTION

The intent of this exercise was to create a Micro-Architectural residence, in a Parisian park for an Erasmus student that would live and work there for a semester or two.

Wanting the park to be a part of the structure, this project was conceived in order to obtain privacy in a public space and bring the public to the private. It’s a cubic structure with a mezzanine. The only source of light is the parallelepiped glass structure in the core. It’s divided in “day” (east) and “night” (west) spaces according to their purposes.

DESCRIPTION

With the aim of making citizens aware of this architectural heritage, the city of Paris has put in place an initiative that consisted in designing an architecture to be installed in a place highly symbolic. We chose the Parc de Bercy, marked by the memory of the largest wine and spirits market in the 19th century.

The challenge of the project was to create a structure capable of accommodating one or two visitors, allowing them to interact with the building. A connection established between the heritage and the visitor, inspired by the world of wine.

DESCRIPTION

Deliciæ.

The motivation of this exercise was to create a luxury experience based in different constraints: a 5sqm confortable architectural intervention suitable for elderly people, in a house, and we were obligated to include a clock.

Scenic design Architectural design

The developed project consisted in a gastronomical session that would allow a one of a kind experience to the elderly living in nursing homes. The architecture was composed of a rotative system that would mark time by it’s rotations and patterns created. Each session would last 1h30 for two in the privacy of this cocooning environment.

Budget Hotel.

DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this exercise was to create a hotel room, near an airport where people could stay just for one night and have everything they need and want available.

Bachelor’s degree project

The room had ten square meters, including the bathroom. In the room there were two beds. Each bed has a tablet, one incorporated TV and one retractable table.

The tablet controles everything in the room - the color of the lights, its intensity, the music, the AC, the blinds and the TV.

Scenic design Micro-Architecture

This two sided (in two rooms) scenic intervention was created for the school’s Open House during one week.

The side seen below, was meant to expose our architectural models made for different courses. In the other room, seen on the right, we could find in its interior our portfolios, we had music inside and we also created and installed small lights with different color filters (pictures on the next pages).

DESCRIPTION

The intent of this exercise was to create a scenic environment using lights.

I chose to create the lighting for Marta Ortega’s wedding in her property, in Spain. The scenic space began at the guests entrance, passed by their small forest and ended at the place of the ceremony. The lights were created in order to pretend as if fireflies were inside, making this event even more magical.

DESCRIPTION

While working at Naço Architectures, I had the opportunity to create the branding and visual identity for one of Pierre Gagnaire’s restaurants.

The restaurant’s business card

“Piero TT” was the name of the restaurant. It was located in Courchevel as a part of the Airelles Hotel which is near a ski station. It has now also opened in Paris.

DESCRIPTION

Com o intuito de prevenir o preconceito, criámos um jogo sobre deficiências motoras, virtuais, auditivas e psicológicas. Este jogo será um elemento capaz de sensibilizar e informar as crianças em relaçao à natureza das deficiências humanas e às dificuldades que as pessoas com deficiência enfrentam.

Nos sapatos dos outros é um jogo que permite que as crianças sejam postas à prova com perguntas e desafios que, de forma lúdica, os ensina e obriga a pensar e a agir como se estivessem "nos sapatos dessas pessoas".

Existem casas de desafio, pergunta, sorte e azar.

Em termos de jogabilidade é bastante semelhante aos jogos clássicos de tabuleiro, sendo que um ou dois dados são lançados e o número indicado é o número de casas que o jogador deve andar.

Dependendo na casa em que calhar após o lançamento do dados, será obrigado a responder a uma pergunta, concluir um desafio ou andar uma casa para frente ou uma para trás.

Sempre que o jogador tem de realizar um desafio ou responder a uma pergunta, é necessário rodar a seta para indicar com que parceiro será feito.

The game is about disabilities in general. Jornadas Médicas da Nova MS.

DESCRIPTION

As a freelance designer I had the chance to develop the branding and visual identity for a medical student conference in Lisbon.

“Jornadas Médicas da Nova Medical School” is an annual congress that takes place in Lisbon and is organised by medical students from NOVA Medical School, Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de Lisboa. I developed the logo of the 2018 congress edition as well as its whole visual identity as the customer desired.

Industrial Design

Fatia.

DESCRIPTION

This exercise was meant to design a plate for a special masters dinner between university teachers and students. This plate served an amusebouche - melon and ham.

Industrial and product design

We were inspired in the shape of the melon. We created twelve ceramic plates. The plates were handmade, the colours used were two tones of orange, only applied at the bottom.

DESCRIPTION

2016 The motivation of this exercise was to create an object that molded light, a structure that created figures and shadows in an original way, using nothing but paper and folding. The electrical instalation was also a demand.

The final product resulted as a two-part chandelier attached by paper cuts and foldings. I named it “Ammonite” because its shape recalls the Ammonite’s shape.

DESCRIPTION

The intention of this exercise was to develop our drawing abilities and draw the nude. They were exposed as a part of an exhibition.

These are all A2 drawings. The first and the last drawings are a mixture of chalk, graphite and dry pastels. The second and third were made in craft paper, also a mixture of chalk, dry pastels and graphite.

DESCRIPTION

Drawing composition

The motive of this drawing composition was to express ourselves based in a project, mentioned before, DeliciĂŚ.

Highschool project

The project DeliciĂŚ was integrated in a luxurious culinary universe.

Therefore, my intent was to demostrate a sequence of actions that unroll in a kitchen of a luxurious restaurant. The project developed is a composition of handmade drawings that were later colored in photoshop.
