A leap-of-faith decision in 2018 to leave her high profile CBD-based role to establish a niche Bayside property agency has landed her in a great spot, both professionally and personally.
“It was the best decision. Basically, I was ‘cooked’. After 20 years of driving into the city every single day, sitting at a desk until 8 o’clock at night, and dealing with the stresses of restructures every three months, I needed a big change. All of a sudden, I had greater flexibility for work, lifestyle and being able to spend time with my children.”
When she moved into the home in 2016, Simone, who has tertiary qualifications in sales and marketing, was at the peak of her two-decadeslong corporate career, working long hours as General Manager Customer Experience at Telstra.
