One of the ways of achieving this aim is the new flagship health Centre established across the state to bridge the gap between primary health care and secondary health care to compliment the services being rendered by the two hundred and eighty eight Primary Health Care Centre in the State. The focus of the Primary Health care is therefore on preventive health care and the Board is spearheading its realization throughout the nooks and crannies of the state

PROJECT
The governor of Lagos state envisioned the largest children's hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, built for durability and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Groundbreaking took place in April 2021, with construction starting in 2022.
The new hospital will replace the century-old, 85-bed Massey Hospital, established in 1914, which has struggled to meet growing pediatric demands. The modern facility will feature an Independent Power Plant and a 10-floor multi-level car park, ensuring it meets contemporary healthcare needs.
Massey Street Children's Hospital is dedicated to delivering timely, specialist pediatric care across Lagos State and its surroundings in a clean, healthy environment, leveraging advanced knowledge, technology, research, and training.
