Secca di Punta Secca , it’s : the dive everyone is dreaming of. As a matter of fact for us at MARLINTREMITI, the name does not mean the dive to the “arches”. For us this means four different underwater trails that everyone can enjoy as a unique place for its richness in life , colors and harmony. The marine and weather conditions though, must be good.
The dive is located away from the north-east of the Caprara island’s tip (Punta Secca). The emerged part of this stripe of land presents a wall slowly lowering toward south. In reality this stripe continue for 100 meters under the water and then it sinks. This is why this wall creates a natural barrier to the cold streams coming from northeast rich with oxygen and nutrition. Its peculiarity associated with its exposure and the geological shape, create the perfect “mix” to make this place ideal to develop every form of submarine life and to be the meeting point of every pelagic form of life.
It’s a magic moment and you can feel its charm as you get to the point. . From now on , everything will be special. We mentioned four different trials which we identify with the following names: trial -25, trial -35, the -55 trial and the tour dive (with the underwater propellers). What we describe in these pages, it's for us, the most beatiful thing we' ve ever seen.

When speaking about this dive normally we say: Secca di Punta Secca same as Gorgonie. That’s right! While diving it is impossible not to remain astonished by the beauty of the Gorgonia (Paramunicea clavata) : Here there are unique models for the colors and uncommon size that makes this dive 1 of the 10 most beautiful dives in the Mediterranean sea. 93 Magazine M - Number Eight
