Easy Fudgy
Vegan Slice This chocolate and nut slice gets its wonderfully gooey interior from a secret, positively healthy ingredient - you’ll never guess it! As well as being vegan it’s also gluten-free thanks to the almond flour.
Ingredients
Method
Tin of chickpeas
Preheat the oven to 180C fan. Line a small baking tray with baking paper.
100g almond flour
Drain the chickpeas and put all of the ingredients except for the chocolate into a food processor and pulse until smooth. The mixture will be very thick.
100g brown sugar 9 tbsp crunchy peanut or almond butter 1 tsp vanilla extract Pinch of salt 4 tbsp maple syrup 150g dark chocolate (I used Whittaker's Dark Almond)
Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth over the top. Bake for 20 minutes. It's done when a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Allow to cool while you melt the chocolate. Break up the chocolate and melt it in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Spread the melted chocolate over the top of the slice and allow it to set before cutting into squares. Dig in!
