This piece is intended to convey what it feels like to be pulled into a living nightmare. We explored lullabies and popular childhood stories to show how quickly seemingly innocent dreams can evolve into unspeakable nightmares.
We aim to inspire a sense of comfort in our fellow sixth form pupils who share similar fears and worries about the future. We wish to highlight the relentless anxiety about the future to parents and teachers. Similar to how we are feeling, many of our classmates may also be feeling stressed and worried about the changes we face in the next year. We hope to acknowledge that they are simply not alone, and convey how we understand and sympathise with the pressure many are facing. This is aimed towards parents, teachers and students in sixth form.

Director’s Intention
The men of Alpha Company carried photos, cigarettes, gum, guns, grenades, extra socks and so much more. They also carried their fears, anxieties, shame, anger, and sometimes joy.
O’Brien weaves the complexities of war with human emotion; the reader sees what makes a soldier tick and how their experiences in Vietnam affected them throughout their lives.
