MAKING THE BEST, BETTER THE FINEST SPORTS NET COMPLEX IN THE MIDLANDS

Last year Himley Cricket Club received a grant to create a new sports net complex. This fantastic new facility has now been completed and is ready for the new season.

We are now seeking the help of our members, sponsors and friends to enable completion of the paths outside the facility and to install floodlighting.

Your contributions will help us to create a lasting multi-sport facility that can be used by members all year round.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT?

In order to create this all year round multi-sport facility we are asking our members, sponsors, friends, family and supporters to contribute by purchasing a paver in the pathway to the nets.

PLAYERS GUIDELINES

PLAYERS’GUIDELINES

1. Reporting time for all cricket except midweek evening matches will be 70 minutes prior to the start of play unless otherwise directed by the Captain or Coach.

2. All players shall be ready to commence warm ups 60 minutes prior to the start of play unless otherwise directed by the Captain or Coach.

3. It is the player’s responsibility to check the team’s sheets, team meet time and hours of play.

4. Reporting times are important and players maybe reprimanded or dropped for arriving late.

5. All players shall participate in training and practice on Thursday evenings 6pm till dusk, as directed by the Captain.

6. Teams will travel by car to the matches and it is the responsibility of the individual players to organise their own transport in advance of match day.

7. A match fee of 8.00 (Sunday League £4.00) will be levied at each game and includes tea.

8. On match days players should park their cars on the Cricket Club car park, not on grassed areas unless otherwise agreed.

9. Players are expected to be smartly turned out on the field of play.

10. Players should report loss of personal effects to the treasurer as the club may be insured for certain losses.

11. Players are reminded that at all times they are regarded as representatives of Himley Cricket Club and as such always conduct themselves in a proper and dignified manner. Foul and abusive language acts of violence and poor behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in severe action incorporating the disciplinary code instructed by the Birmingham and District League.

12. In the event of inclement weather it is the player’s responsibility to check with their team Captain or Coach after 10am. All the Birmingham League matches require attendance whatever the weather.
