Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress Dodd’s Furniture Ltd. has been selling quality furniture and mattresses to greater Victoria residents for over 40 years. This family owned business started in 1977 and is well known for quirky advertising, great deals and extensive involvement in the community. The 35,000 square foot, flagship store, offers furniture, mattresses, rugs and accessories for all tastes and budgets. With the addition of two stores in Nanaimo and Campbell River, and a small fleet of trucks, they are currently capable of servicing the entire Vancouver Island and surrounding Island communities. They have increased their container buying program to reduce costs to customers. They have added two new five-ton trucks to the fleet. They have made changes in management to run warehouse more efficiently and offer faster delivery, and made earth friendly changes to garbage disposal and recycling. They have also developed safety protocols in warehouse and have offered extended health plans to employees. They have increased their annual free Christmas dinners to include all three community locations, and are in the process of building a new facility in Nanaimo to increase the size of that location.
