2024 Baseball

On behalf of Central Penn College and our student-athletes, I want to extend a big “thank you” for all of the support and dedication you have shown to our programs.
Athletics at Central Penn are geared to complement our academic programs, and we believe that they are a vital part of the educational process and student experience.
My goal as Athletic Director is to engage students in a positive, life-changing experience through athletics. The everyday challenges in competition can bring out one’s true character and exemplify the importance of leadership and teamwork. This is something we desire to instill in our athletes, as it helps benefit their educational endeavors and enables them to achieve greater success in their future careers.
Our student-athletes truly embrace what it means to be a Central Penn Knight! I couldn’t be prouder of our athletes and their ability to balance classes, work, personal obligations and athletic responsibilities to represent our institution. If you think you have what it takes to become a Knight, please complete the recruiting form at centralpennknights.com or email my office at Athletics@centralpenn.edu.
I look forward to seeing the support of our sports teams at Central Penn continue to grow. I encourage you to get out and cheer on our student-athletes. They represent the best of our community and what it truly means to be a part of the Central Penn College family!
As always, Go Knights!
Coach Bob Stern is entering his seventh year as Head Baseball Coach at Central Penn College, after taking over in the fall of 2017. During his six years at Central Penn, he has compiled a 73-67 record, with two Covid-curtailed seasons.
His coaching experiences include 14 years as Junior Varsity Head Coach, as well as Assistant Varsity Coach, at his alma mater, Harrisburg High. Throughout the last 34 years, he has coached at numerous levels of baseball in the greater Harrisburg area, including Teener Leagues, Legion Baseball and the East Shore Men’s Twilight League.
He is the founder of Mutts Baseball, a travel program that has been competing since 2011, and which has sent many young athletes to play college baseball.
He also provides individualized instruction for midstate youths, ages 10-15. Over the past few years, he has run clinics for local baseball organizations and for groups as far away as Pottsville, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
He is proud and honored to be the Head Coach at Central Penn College, where he has seen young 18-year-olds mature into young men on and off the baseball field. He looks forward to a successful baseball program for years to come, and making an impact in these young men’s lives.
