OVERVIEW The Open Front Booth is designed for both batch type and conveyorized production systems. Air flow is drawn in through the open front, across the work area and exhausted through a filter bank in the back of the booth. The dry arrestor filters trap the airborne overspray particles before the filtered air is discharged through the exhaust system and into the atmosphere. The booths are available in a wide range of designs to meet practically any production requirement. Conveyor pass-through openings can be as much as 25% of the booth open front area, without requiring additional exhaust fan capacity. Specially engineered enclosures may be designed to meet your requirements. Air replacement units and intake chambers can be added as well as reduced air flows for automatic spray operations.

LIGHTING FEATURES Lighted booths provide a bright, full booth illumination from four-tube, 48" long, 32-watt, fluorescent light fixtures. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. The light tubes are furnished with Class I Division II sealed and gasketed fixtures.

OVERVIEW

Air flows in through the filtered double entry doors in the front of the booth, passes through the booth’s working area, and into the filtered exhaust chamber located in the rear of the booth. This filtered exhaust air is drawn through the exhaust plenum and discharged upward into the atmosphere through the exhaust stack. Our Industrial Enclosure booths make efficient use of your valuable floor space and are available in four heights to accommodate your needs.

LIGHTING FEATURES

Bright, full-booth illumination is provided by four 48˝, four-tube, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures placed in the ceiling panels and side walls. Each is sealed behind clear tempered safety glass. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES & QUALITY STANDARDS Chambers are constructed from 18-gauge, prime quality, galvanized steel. Structural steel is used to add strength and rigidity to chambers as necessary. Control panel is optional, fire control systems are to be supplied by others.

EZ EXHAUST BENCH This exhaust bench provides a very practical method for removing hazardous and contaminated air generated by refinish, repair and other shop-related operations.

OVERVIEW

The Col-Met EZ Crossdraft Booth intakes fresh air through filters in the product doors. The clean, filtered air is drawn through the booth and exhausted through a filter system at the opposite end. This type of spray booth makes efficient use of shop space, and is available in solid back, drive through and reverse flow designs. Reverse flow booths intake air through filters in the back wall.

The solid-faced product access doors are at the exhaust end of the booth. This provides cleaner intake filtering and better control of shop dust that might be tracked in at the product entrance. This booth also available in either drive-through or solid back configurations.

LIGHTING FEATURES

Bright, full booth illumination is provided by ten 48" four-tube, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures in the angled ceiling panels and side walls. Each is sealed behind clear, tempered safety glass. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement.

The Col-Met EZ Modified Downdraft Booth intakes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filter bank located in the booth ceiling near the product doors. The filtered air is drawn down through the booth to an exhaust filter system at the other end. Optional prefiltered plenum for additional intake air filtration is available. This booth also available in either drivethrough or solid back configurations.

The basic modified downdraft design allows for easy pressurization with the addition of an intake plenum with fan or a heated air make up unit.

The Col-Met EZ Side Downdraft Booth intakes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filtered booth ceiling. The filtered air is drawn down and away from the product through exhaust filters at the floor level, along both sides.

This provides efficient overspray control that reduces prep time and also provides a much healthier workplace environment without an expensive downdraft exhaust pit. This booth can also be purchased with a pre-filtered plenum or with a pressurized intake plenum, the booth can also be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycle to meet your requirements. This booth also available in either drive-through or solid back configurations.

The Hanging Intake Plenum and Exhaust Plenum Wall will be fabricated with 18-gauge galvanized steel panels; flanged for strength and pre-punched for easy nut and bolt assembly. The intake plenum may be suspended with a maximum of 10’ tall clearance or as low as 7’ tall clearance. The actual installed height is required to order the Goff’s™ Curtain walls.

Intake air is supplied by one (1) 18” diameter tubeaxial fan with a 1-1/2 HP, three-phase motor. Exhaust is provided by one (1) 18” diameter tubeaxial fan with a 1-1/2 HP, three-phase motor.

Col-Met Spray Booths’ EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station complies with NFPA 33 regulations pertaining to limited finishing workstations. Optional ETL listing with purchase of control panel and curtains is availabe.

OVERVIEW

The Col-Met EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station draws fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a pressurization fan. This air is forced down into the prep station through a filter bank located in the ceiling near the entry. The air is drawn through the prep station work area into a filtered exhaust plenum at the opposite end and exhausted out to the atmosphere through the exhaust fan and stack. This design allows for easy addition of a heated air makeup unit. Panels, assembly hardware, filters, and sealants needed for mechanical installation are included. The threaded rod for suspending the intake plenum is not supplied

by Col-Met. Goff’s™ Curtain walls, intake and exhaust stack, control panel, and other electrical components may be purchased separately.

OVERVIEW The Batch Powder Booth makes efficient use of shop space and is designed for batch powder coating with no provisions for powder reclamation.

Air is drawn in through the open front of the spray booth, passes through the booth’s working area into the filtered exhaust plenum. The air is filtered in three stages and discharged back into the room. One set of filters will be provided with each booth.

EZ PASS THRU POWDER BOOTH Parts enter the booth through the conveyor openings, then pass the coating operator stations to receive the coating. The powder overspray is entrained within the air stream moving to the collector module, where the cartridge filters will remove the particulate. The containment air is drawn through the air handler’s primary and final filter system before being discharged back into the room. Coated parts exit the booth for conveyance to the cure oven.

OVERVIEW

The Col-Met Light Duty Crossdraft Booth intakes fresh air through filters in the product doors. The clean, filtered air is drawn through the booth and exhausted through a filter system at the opposite end. This type of spray booth makes efficient use of shop space, and is available in solid back, drive through, and reverse flow designs.

LIGHTING FEATURES

Bright, full booth illumination is provided by 48" four-tube, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures in the angled ceiling panels and side walls. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement.

OVERVIEW

The Light Duty Modified Downdraft Booth intakes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filter bank located in the booth ceiling near the product doors. The filtered air is drawn down through the booth to an exhaust filter system at the other end, and is optionally equipped with a pre-filter plenum for additional intake air filtration. The basic modified downdraft design allows for easy pressurization with the addition of an intake plenum with fan or a heated air make up unit.

OVERVIEW

The Light Duty Side Downdraft Booth intakes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filtered booth ceiling.

The filtered air is drawn down and away from the product through exhaust filters at the floor level, along both sides. This provides efficient overspray control that reduces prep time and also provides a much healthier workplace environment without an expensive downdraft exhaust pit. This booth can also be purchased with a pre-filtered plenum or with a pressurized intake plenum. The booth can also be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycle to meet your requirements. The Light Duty Side Downdraft Booth is available in either drive-through or solid back configurations.

OVERVIEW

The Heavy Duty Side Downdraft Booth intakes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filtered booth ceiling. The filtered air is drawn down and away from the product through exhaust filters at the floor level, along both sides. This provides efficient overspray control that reduces prep time and also provides a much healthier workplace environment without an expensive downdraft exhaust pit. This booth can also be purchased with a pre-filtered plenum or with a pressurized intake plenum. The booth can also be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycle to meet your requirements. The Heavy Duty Side Downdraft Booth is available in either drive-through or solid back configurations.

LIGHTING FEATURES

Bright, full booth illumination is provided by four-tube, 48", 32-watt, fluorescent light fixtures in the angled ceiling panels and side walls. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement.

An optional above ground basement exhaust plenum is available for installation without concrete work.

This booth can be purchased with a pre-filtered plenum or with a pressurized intake plenum. It can also be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycle to meet your requirements. The Heavy Duty Downdraft Booth is available in either drive-through or solid back configurations.

OVEN PANELS CONSTRUCTION FEATURES AND QUALITY DETAILS • Tongue and groove construction.

• 4” thick panels constructed of 20-gauge prime aluminized steel inside and out. Both panel surfaces are roll-formed for uniformity.

• 2", 3", 6", and 8" thick panels are also available.

• Stiffener panels comprising the top, bottom and sidewalls of the panels are factory-punched to reduce the through metal, thereby reducing heat transmission to the exterior surface of the panels.

• Col-Met utilizes a “Knuckle” punch for attachment of the top and bottom connecting panels and a “Button” punch along the tongue and groove surfaces, instead of spot welds which are known to breakdown the panel integrity. This assembly process provides superior strength while protecting the cosmetic appearance of the panels.

• Where possible, standard 27-1/2" panels are used - providing a net width of 26". (36" width optional) • Standard 4 lb. density semi-rigid/resilient Rockwool insulation sandwiched between surfaces. (6 and 8 lb. density optional) • Available in lengths up to 15', as well as custom lengths upon request.

• Powder Coated White finish is available as an option.

SHIPPING • Most orders ship in 2 weeks or less.

• Panels are placed on their edges, palletized, and secured with 2x4 banded reinforced framing for forklift unloading.

Shipped pre-wired by Col-Met for easy and accurate hookup. Panel controls the exhaust fan and light operation of the spray booth. Panel includes a NEMA 12 enclosure, main disconnect switch, magnetic motor starter with overload disconnect and operative On/Off switch with fire protection interlock. Control Panels are designed for three (3) phase and single (1) phase operations. Consult your factory representative for further information. Not recommended for Col-Met Spray Booths featuring air make-up units, air balancing systems and / or infrared heaters.

All control panels fabricated by Col-Met Spray Booths are UL Listed.
