MESSAGE FROM THE ACTING HEAD

We really are ‘up and running’ as we completed our first full week back after the Christmas holiday and this Court Circular is testament to that fact. The enthusiasm of our children to tackle new challenges and to seek out more is wonderful and so it was a pleasure to have pupils pitch a charity idea to me earlier in the week. Thank you to those pupils! Charity was certainly a key focus for us this week as we all listened to impressively convincing presentations from our Year 6 pupils at Monday’s assembly. We look forward to raising money for our chosen charity and contributing to the amazing difference they already make in many people’s lives.

Last night we held our 11+ information evening for Year 4 and 5 parents. We have an impressive record here at Ripley Court of getting children into the right school for them and at this meeting we shared how we prepare your children for this important process. I know that while for some of you this is a long way off, for others it is the current focus (as you await results from Senior schools) and for others it is the next step. Please do come and chat with me if you have any questions.

As an aside, I have just been visited by a pupil bringing me a wonderful cupcake adorned with an impressive mythical beast, and it was incredibly tasty!
