Mahogany Coffee, produced in Primavera farm in the shadow of African mahogany, was among the 24 best coffees in the main regions producers in the state of Minas Gerais. Received the 2nd place in the category Pulped Natural of the 13th State Quality Coffee of Minas Gerais Competition, representing the Region Chapada de Minas. The awards event happened on December 19th, in the Administrative City of the State Government. That contest received a record volume of registrations, nearly two thousand samples, representing a growth of 42.5% compared to the previous edition.

One of the titles that we had the most pride in receiving was the 3rd More Sustainable Farm in Brazil, through the 3rd Sustainable Farm Award held by the Globo Rural magazine, admittedly one of the most renowned Brazilian agribusiness magazines and part of the Globo Group, known internationally . We are very pleased to share this news with all our partners and customers and show recognition of all our work day after day in order to strictly comply with all the conditions to keep our certificates. The award was announced on December 6th , at a ceremony in São Paulo (in the state of São Paulo). There were 65 registered farms of various activities, of which 37 were selected for the second phase and only 17 registered presented all indexes that point to a sustainable production. The top ten received a technical visit by the company Rabobank to check information through the methodology made by WWF and Espaço Eco foundation. The chosen ones were

classified according to their eco-efficiency. Primavera farm has coffee as its main activity and the planted African mahogany forest as second activity. Both activities currently live in symbiosis, producing Mahogany Coffee special coffee. UTZ, RainForest Alliance and 4C certificates, among many others, attest to the care of the farm with the environment and its employees. "Our actions are the result of the values of our companies. I am a simple representative of a team that makes Primavera farm, sustainable every day. It is a daily work of 150 employees of our farms, "says Leonardo Tavares, CEO Agro. The third title received was the 4th place of "Best Special Coffee 2016", elected by the BSCA - Brazil Specialty Coffee Association, in an event held on November 21st in SĂŁo Paulo (SP). "We are a 100% Brazilian company, committed to bringing coffee and our Brazilian producers to the highest level in the world market. We believe that the country is able to be an important producer of premium and specialty coffees, occupying a prominent place on the world stage, but for this, we must trust that it is worthwhile to continue investing, "says RogĂŠrio Schiavo, CEO of Atlantica Coffee, one of Montesanto Tavares Group trades.

Mainly held by the non-profit Montesanto Tavares Group (MTG), the new headquarters was inaugurated in Buritizeiro, Minas Gerais, 3rd December, 2016. It offers workshops in embroidery, painting, dance, theater, music, capoeira, cutting and sewing for 120 children from 7 to 17 years old and mothers of the local community.

The MTG is a sponsor of the Band that directly benefits 130 youngsters, aiming at musical professionalization by teaching music with wind and percussion instruments, singing and choral and offering citizenship to low income youth.
