CONSTRUCTION SKILLS (BRICKLAYING) DIPLOMA • LEVEL 1
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In our Technology and Future Skills Centre you will learn how to carry out basic brick and block laying skills and construct straightforward brick/block walls.
GCSEs at grade 2/3, plus a favourable report from school.
WHAT NEXT Level 2 Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations or straight into employment.
BRICKLAYING DIPLOMA • LEVEL 2
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This is a more advanced programme which will develop your trade skills to a recognised industry standard. You will build an extensive portfolio of evidence, and carry out timed practical tests that meet the higher levels of accuracy set down by the Construction industry Training Board (CITB) specifications.
Completion of a Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying, or an equivalent qualification. GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths or Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 1.
WHAT NEXT Fast-track to Level 2 Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations or straight into employment.
