PETE’S FISH MARKET WRAP UP

We’re monitoring conditions in North Queensland as warnings remain in place, but things are gradually improving. In the meantime, we’re sourcing top-quality seafood from other regions to maintain a steady supply.
From Thursday, we have Goldband, Crimson and Sweetlip Snapper rolling in, so get your orders in early to secure stock.
Last week, we had the pleasure of taking one of our customers on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Sydney Fish Market. It was a great chance to dive into seasonality, learn more about different regional fish varieties, and get up close with some of the best seafood Australia has to offer. Always great to share our knowledge and passion for fresh seafood!

CATCH OF THE WEEK
Monkfish might not win any beauty contests, but when it comes to flavour and texture, this deep-sea dweller is an absolute standout. Found in the cold waters off Australia’s southern coastline, Monkfish is known for its firm, pearly white flesh and mild, sweet flavour. Earning it the nickname "poor man's lobster."
Monkfish has a dense, meaty texture that holds up well to a variety of cooking methods. It’s typically sold as skinless, boneless fillets, making it easy to work with and reducing waste.




PRICE ADJUSTMENT NOTICE
Due to fluctuating market conditions and rising production costs from our suppliers, there will be a price adjustment on the following items effective immediately: - Salmon (whole, filleted and portioned)- Barramundi (whole, filleted and portioned)- WA Lobsters (cooked)- Moreton Bay Bugs (raw and cooked) -
We have worked hard to keep prices stable for as long as possible, absorbing many of the rising costs. However, due to continued increases from our suppliers, we can no longer absorb these costs and must now pass on this adjustment.
We understand that price changes can impact your business, and we remain committed to providing you with the highest quality seafood and service.
