Glistening, sparkling, incredible – Singer’s winter wellness paradise The crisp winter air fills your lungs, unfurling and tingling as it touches your skin. Off into the Alps? Skiing and Berwang are made for each other. With the Singer Sporthotel & SPA, you can step straight into your skis and back again. The Berwang ski area is ideal for all fans of Alpine skiing, from beginners to professionals, from those taking up skiing after a break to true connoisseurs. An extensive network of more than 110km of cross-country trails in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena attracts skiing and skate skiing fans to the great outdoors where they can be free of workaday stresses and tensions, and know they are doing wonders for their hearts, circulation and muscle tone. Looking for wondrous winter walks? This is also a walkers’ paradise where hikers can explore Berwang’s vast winter universe on more than 60km of marked footpaths. Away from the cleared routes, snowshoe walks are available with and without a guide.
Prefer skates or a sleigh to skis? Either walk or take the lift up before making your way down with whoops and cries of delight – the natural toboggan runs around Berwang provide exercise and fun in equal measure. Despite the icy ground, the fun at the ice and curling rinks also reaches boiling point. Alternatively, let your cares melt away while you glide through Berwang’s winter wonderland in a horse-drawn sleigh, with the animals’ breath rising up into the frosty night sky. Think winter is even more magical at night? Then enjoy the glistening, snowy surroundings under the stars with moonlight tobogganing, guided torchlight hikes, night skiing or night ice skating – every Thursday from 6.00-9.45pm at the top of the Egghof Sunjet chair lift in Berwang. Looking for something a little warmer? At Singer’s SPA, you can enjoy wonderful, warm, relaxing and energising wellness rituals, massages and beauty treatments with Caudalíe products – for children and adults alike.

Worth knowing Singer’s ski-in & ski-out: the Singer Sporthotel & SPA is located adjacent to the slope and the Sonnalmbahn cable car, so you can step straight into your skis and back out of them at the hotel door. Ideal ski equipment: ski helmet, ski suit (jacket and trousers) with maximum waterproofing, waterproof gloves, ski goggles/sunglasses, ski boots, ski poles and skis Rental equipment: skis, ski boots and poles are available to hire from local ski shops – the Sport Hofherr shop is directly opposite the Singer Sporthotel & SPA! Piste facts: the Berwang ski area encompasses 36km of slopes and 12 lifts. The ski runs are at 1,000-1,740m above sea level. Snow guarantee: Berwang’s slopes are in an area of orographic lift, which ensures high snowfall. In addition, there are snow canons on 80% of the slopes. Top tip! The Top Snow Card gives you one-card access to all the lifts and slopes in the Zugspitz Arena, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitz – a total of 205km.
