L’uomo vive di passioni. Sono la parte ludica dell’esistenza. Senza di esse il mondo sarebbe molto più noioso. Lo sport è sicuramente una di queste. Non esiste parte del globo dove non venga praticata una qualsiasi disciplina sportiva. Dalle regioni meno sviluppate alle grandi realtà occidentali. Una passione che muove le masse, le coinvolge e spesso le distrae. Cibo per le menti e a volte per i corpi. Per Gnocchi, il riferimento allo sport, diventa pretesto per raccontare ancora una volta un fenomeno popolare. Attività legate al mondo dello sport, fra i più diversi, reinterpretati e rivisitati, ponendo l’accento sulla figura del’uomo, a volte quelle dei protagonisti, altre sul pubblico che assiste coinvolto alla scena. In questo ultimo segmento riscontriamo anche l’ennesima rivoluzione tecnico pittorica messa in atto dall’artista, che già abbiamo avuto modo di gustare in qualche esempio precedente. Una evoluzione gestuale, carica di cromatismi mai visti prima e di dinamiche che danno ritmo alla composizione, che come recita il titolo di questa rassegna, guida lo spettatore attraverso quel “luogo” stilistico identificato come: dal Neo-Pop al Nuovo Divisionismo.
The man lives of passions. They are the playful side of life. Without them the world would be a lot more boring. Sport is definitely one of them. There is no place in the world where sports are not practiced. From less developed regions to great western reality. A passion that moves masses, involves and often distracts. Food for minds and sometimes for bodies. For Gnocchi, the reference to sport becomes an excuse to tell once again a popular phenomenon. Activities related to the world of sports, among the most various, reinterpreted and revisited, with emphasis on the figure of man, sometimes those of the protagonists, others involved in the audience watching the scene. In this last segment we also find yet another pictorial technological revolution implemented by the artist, which we have already had the opportunity to taste with some previous example. A gestural evolution, full of colours that have never been seen before and dynamics that give rhythm to the composition, that, as the title of this review tells, guide the viewer through the stylistic “place” identified as: Neo-Pop to New Pointillism.
