Marisa Maza

Marisa Maza is an artist, working in the field of video and photography. Since the early 1990s, Maza’s work has focused on issues of gender, sexualityand identity aswell as on the political and social construction of bodies and their media representation. Furthermore, the human body and typologies of real, fictionaland/or simulated (urban) landscapes werethematized as (metaphorical) systems for the inscription of sociopolitical conditions.
